Yes, it could be. Anti histamines help with the symptoms but I don't really like to take them long term.

Hi Scott No, there isn't any mould but the road outside our house has got a lot busier lately. A lot more houses have been built in the area and I wonder if road pollution has something to do with it.

Hi Scott Thank you for your reply I don't think I'm having any gluten in my diet. I only cook fresh food at home and I'm really careful about reading labels. On the whole my symptoms have improved and I'm feeling very much better. However, I still do have the occasional 'attack' severe stomach pain and vomiting which probably happens about once...

I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but since going gluten free just over a year ago I have developed hayfever symptoms which are becoming progressively worse. I say it is hayfever but it isn't seasonal because I've had it over the winter too. On the whole I'm so much better with my digestive problems improving all the time so I don't why I've suddenly...

Hi Clauren Yes, I did have muscle fatigue. I also still have pain and tingling in my legs but it's something that is gradually improving along with my other symptoms. I use the magnesium spray twice a day when I need it but it says on the instructions you can use up to 10-20 sprays a day after the initial application. I buy it on line from Amazon..I don't...

Thank you jemma. I found that article very interesting and I've read all the related articles. I think I've had misdiagnosed celiac disease for many years. I'm 79 and because if my age I think I'm one of the adults who will probably never heal completely However. I do feel so much better since going gluten free. I found the article by Hollon JR regarding... -
GLUTEN FREE CHALLENGE FOR BIOPSY
Sobiha replied to STE9900's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
No, I haven't had a blood test for celiac disease. I'm sure that's what I have though. I've suffered from anaemia for years. As far back as 2016 I was in hospital with unexplained iron deficiency and had two blood transfusions. Since going gluten free I no longer have constipation or bouts of diarrhoea. The stomach cramps and sickness has stopped. My joints...- 18 replies

GLUTEN FREE CHALLENGE FOR BIOPSY
Sobiha replied to STE9900's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I have been waiting 9 months to see a gastroenterologist at the local hospital. I'm self diagnosed and thanks to Dr google, a good nutritionist and the support of this group I am feeling so much better now. I believe I have has this disease for many years and it has been misdiagnosed. When I do eventually get an appointment I will not do the gluten challenge...- 18 replies

Confused
Sobiha replied to tkimzey's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I've suffered from constipation for most of my life but since going gluten free my bowels have improved at lot. I have noticed though that if I accidently get 'glutened ' the attack is followed by a period of constipation . -

That's very informative..thank you so much. I'm so grateful for the support of this group -
I'm rather confused about the length of time it takes for the small bowel to heal. I've read that it takes up to six months and other sites say its a lot longer and in some people it never heals. Also when a Celiac is 'glutened' and has an attack does that reverse the healing process.

Celiac blood test diagnose help
Sobiha replied to Sarah Rose's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hi No, I hadn't thought about that. I'm in the UK and ive been waiting eight months for a hospital appointment. I'm going to contact my gp and discuss the possibility of such a test. I know an endoscopy can sometimes reveal damage caused by gluten but as I've been gluten free since April my intestines may have healed by now. Sobiha -
Celiac blood test diagnose help
Sobiha replied to Sarah Rose's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hi Like you Sarah Rose I have not had an official diagnosis but I am not willing to make myself really ill again by ingesting Gluten. I am also can't believe how much better my joints feel after going gluten free nearly seven months ago. I thought the stiffness in my joints-particularly in my lower back-was due to my age and arthritis, but there has... -
How Common are Vomiting and Nausea After Gluten Exposure in Celiac Disease?
Sobiha commented on Jefferson Adams's article in Latest Research
I can usually trace the source Elise but on a couple of occasions.. like you.. I was a bit mystified and put it down to cross contamination in the kitchen. As we now don't buy any gluten products any future attacks will have to be down to something I've eaten- 22 comments

How Common are Vomiting and Nausea After Gluten Exposure in Celiac Disease?
Sobiha commented on Jefferson Adams's article in Latest Research
Hi Elise I do hope you are feeling better now. I have been gluten free since April of this year. I think I have had this disease for many years although it has gone undiagnosed. My symptoms were getting worse by the day but I think it was caused by the progression of the disease rather than my advancing years. Overall I'm feeling so much better now...- 22 comments

Cross Contamination, Food Sharing
Sobiha replied to Rogol72's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Yes, its very difficult Scott. Ideally we should aim for a gluten free kitchen. Although we are very careful cross contamination still happens. -
Cross Contamination, Food Sharing
Sobiha replied to Rogol72's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
I was 'glutened' yesterday. The only thing I could think if was that my partner cooked breakfast for ourselves and my grandaughter. Although he placed my food on a separate food tray he cooked it all together in our fan assisted oven. None of the food was covered and included sausages and black pudding. I had stomach pain and vomiting later on in the evening... -
How Common are Vomiting and Nausea After Gluten Exposure in Celiac Disease?
Sobiha commented on Jefferson Adams's article in Latest Research
Severe stomach pain vomiting and regurgitation had become my worse but not only symptoms before I went gluten free six months ago. If I accidently ingest it now the pain and vomiting comes back, usually within a couple hours but sometimes not until the next day. I went to an Italian restaurant recently and I'm almost certain that the pasta was not gluten...- 22 comments

I still haven't had a proper diagnosis. Luckily with the help of Dr google and a good nutritionist I self diagnosed and went gluten free in April of this year. I am feeling better with each passing day I dont get pain and vomiting now unless I accidently ingest gluten and there are no more bouts if diarrhoea. I do sometimes get bloating and wind but even...
