Recently diagnosed with Celiac at 68 years old. My mother had Celiac and I was tested for it about 25 years ago, which was negative. Didn't realize that you can develop it at any time, and that after 60 years old is common. I seem to have recently entered into this stage where I am hypersensitive to even trace amounts of gluten. This has made it harder to ensure my diet is gluten free, as I am now trying to eliminate all food that may be cross-contaminated with gluten. Seems to be mostly trial and error with food labelled as "gluten free". This is harder than I thought. Appreciate having a community to learn from online.

  2. I just got diagnosed at 68 years old, though I've probably had it for a couple of years. My mother had Celiac Disease and Dermatitis Herpetiformis, so I knew there was a chance I would get it. I was tested 25 years ago and was negative and thought that meant I was in the clear for life. I was surprised to learn that it can develop at any age.
