I was given a gluten-free cookbook and the author recommended that one gets rid of any colanders one owns because they are difficult to clean and might contain gluten. Is this going too far. I have already been advised to replace my toasters and purchase glass cutting boards to place on my butcherblock counters. I have done these things, but am reluctant to get rid of my red colander and buy a new one. How much is too much? (my endoscopy diagnosis was in early July of 2023 so I am still quite new to all this and trying to sort out what is reasonable from what might be an extreme measure.
