  1. In the past two days I have had some unfamiliar discomfort. My arms from my elbows to my rists ache badly, my neck aches, the small of my back aches, and my right ankle oddly enough; oh and sometimes my lower stomach area. The ache on my neck follows with a tension across my shoulders....I feel like I was in a fight or worked out waaaay too much...this morning all of it was very stiff and I am scared

My mom has almost all of these symptoms, it was like I was reading soemthing she wrote about herself. She has been to the doctor and had just been tested for lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, celiac disease, and lyme disease. These are all the things HER doctor thought it could be.

My advice: If you absolutely cannot afford to get testing done, and if the gluten-free diet makes you feel better, just stick witht he diet until you can see a doctor.

Jamieson Vitamins are gluten free it says right on the label.

    Good luck

  2. Check the soy sauce label for gluten (other than wheat), that could be your problem. Also investigate any new foods or products you may have had/used in the last week for hidden gluten. Like lotions, toothpastes, shampoos, conditioners, suncreens, lip gloss/stick, ect.

If everything seems clear, than maybe get tested for an intolerence to soy...?

Or try a different brand altogther. Maybe your brand IS gluten free but it could be processed in a plant with gluten and got contaminated...?

I use VH soy sauce with no problems and it is gluten free (in Canada at least, not sure about the US or other countries).

    Good luck! B)

  3. As far as I know, all flavours of boost are gluten and lactose free except chocolate malt which is only lactose free. I am unsure if boost or certain kinds of boost are soy free.

Boost also has vitamin D, but only like 25% or so of your daily intake.

  4. I use Imagine products for chicken and Vegetable broth

I think McCormick beef cubes are gluten-free. I believe Mc Cormick is one of the companies that clearly labels gluten on their ingredient lists, please correct me if I am wrong about this. I've used them in recipes before and had no problems and I am super sensitive. To make a broth I put 1 cube in 1 cup of water and microwave for 1 minute or so and voila!

  5. I take a vitamin D supplement and a multivitamin with vitamin D in it every day. I also drink boost sometimes as well. Vitamin D is not naturally in most foods (it is fortified in milk) and if you don't get much sun it is easy to become deficient.

due to my allergy to the soy in the vitamins I had a problem

with bloating and it caused constant coughing

Maybe ask your pharmacist or doctor for a soy free and gluten free vitamin D supplement, or ask if boost or any other vitamin drinks are soy and gluten free. Or if you're not allergic to dairy just drink tons of milk!

  6. I weigh less than I used to before getting sick with celiac disease. I also eat tons of food and never gain a pound. (Although I have always been that way). It's kind of weird I guess. Maybe Vote4PresBush04 idea is right in that we may have high metabolisms. I'd also check all your products for hidden gluten just in case ;)

  7. Make sure that you inform your doctor that you were gluten free for 3 weeks before the tests. In order to get accurate results, you need to be eating gluten when you get tested so that there are antibodies in your blood. For some people the antibodies can stay in their systems for awhile, but everyone is different... I'm no expert on this subject, maybe someone else could fill in?

I would discuss this with your doctor. Good luck.
