  1. I recently have been making trips to the hospitals for sever tummy aches and it came to a point where we had called up my pediatrician and she eventually said she assumes I have IBS. I have all the symptoms of IBS, exactly copy and paste. They gave me Mebeverine as a pain relief. I don't know how to get myself through IBS, I've heard of the FODMAP and stuff...
  2. I had a giant blood test done and I had no deficiencies in anything, except a slight increase in calcium, but besides that all was totally fine, as well as my Thiamine level. So im afraid it might really just be a mental things that's being caused by coeliac, because I haven't had this before at the start when I got diagnosed with it and was deficienct in...
  3. I totally feel you! I'm claustrophobic as well and the public also being a woman has not been the safest space for flare-ups and panicking/anxiety as well as the creeps i sometimes deal with :(. I'll try asking for the meds, although the doctors in the Netherlands aren't as willing to give these out and it'll take a lot of pushing to convince them.
  4. Exactly! My stomach responds to the slightest discomfort I feel mentally and depending on the intensity of it it gets worse. The issue is, in the Netherlands they're extreme strict and unwilling to give out antibiotics or strong medicine such as anti-depressants, so I'm now sure how I can manage to get hold of that, unless arguing with my doctors. I...
  5. Yes, sometimes I feel like I can't breathe properly, but I haven't taken it really seriously. It just feels as if I'm not inhaling/exhaling the right amount and it just feels tight/pressure. But I don't know what the reason for this is.
  6. I've recently been struggling a lot with health anxiety. For me, it specifically occurs when I am out in public spaces and my stomach begins to hurt. I begin to panic and stress as I'm in an unpredictable and uncomfortable environment. I don't have anyone to rely on, I'm surrounded by people I don't know and I don't know a place where I can go to feel sick...
  7. Thank you! I wasn't aware of the above information at all so this is super helpful. I was aware that further allergies were possible and thought of taking a test, but I don't know how to approach my doctors with it and how to ask for it specifically. Either way thanks a lot, I will make sure to read the article!
  8. I've never even heard of the word Thiamine...so this is super helpful! I did biology in secondary, however, we covered just the basics and from my general knowledge only know the surface of all the nutrients. I'll make sure to read through all the reading assignments and take notes😝. I was thinking of taking allergy tests as well as nutrition deficiency te...
  9. Thank you, I'll try to check these out! I wasn't made aware of any of these things by my doctors, so I appreciate this a lot!! Do you have any more information on vitamin D? and which supplements are the most effective? In the country I live in, due to the climate, there is already pretty much a yearly all-round lack of vitamin D and I don't know how to fill...
  10. Thank you so much for the comforting message! It's nice be to reminded that no one's alone and that it does get better🥹
  11. After nearly 1.5 years after being diagnosed with coeliac, I'm slowly feeling better, but not fully. It's also mostly now that I feel isolated, rather than still threatened by my symptoms. I'm currently 17 and in my final year of school before university, however, I just want to share how much coeliac has limited me before and is where I am now. I also hope...
