About Me
Join the fight to raise awareness of celiac disease - Together, we can prevent misdiagnoses and irreversible health complications. #SilencedSufferersNoMore
Hello everyone, I’m DeDee, also known as REDVIXEN210GF. I’m a 46-year-old woman from Texas, proud mother of three grown babies, and grandmother to five adorable grandbabies. Today, I want to share an overview of my roller coaster journey with celiac disease.
For over three decades, I’ve navigated the complexities of living with atypical celiac disease. My diagnosis came at the tender age of 10, and since then, my path has been marked not only by the common digestive symptoms but also by a constellation of other medical challenges. These include severe iron deficiency anemia, malabsorption, hypoglycemia, mitral valve prolapse, arthritis, migraines, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. Each manifestation has made treatment and management a formidable task.
Throughout the years, I’ve tried an array of treatments: Venofer the only one I can manage the iron infusions, blood transfusions, antispasmodics, antihistamines, pain management strategies, a gluten-free diet, folic acid supplementation, and steroids. Yet, these interventions have provided only fleeting symptomatic relief. My complex body severe to moderate carpa and fishbane reacts adversely to treatments meant to alleviate my condition. It’s as though I’m grappling with desentaized to celiac disease severe form of the disease that resists conventional approaches.
My health trajectory has been one of intensifying symptoms, progressing from severe to highly severe. This relentless progression has rendered my quality of life less than tolerable. Since 2006, I’ve endured this challenging regimen, but the side effects have been harrowing: severe allergic reactions, rashes, welts, tachycardia, hypotension, debilitating bone pain, profound weakness, and anaphylactic episodes that necessitate hospitalization. These reactions aren’t merely distressing; they’re incapacitating, adding layers of suffering to an already burdensome condition.
My symptoms first emerged in childhood, yet a diagnosis remained elusive until my mid-20s. As I reflect on a lifetime of misdiagnoses, I recall the countless days lost to illness and the myriad visits to emergency rooms. It’s been a tumultuous journey, but I remain resilient, seeking answers and hope amidst the challenges. Thank you for joining me on this roller coaster ride through the complexities of celiac disease.
LOVE ALWAYS, REDVIXEN210GF
