  1. Thank you. I think for my children it will be useful and also to assist in sticking to being gluten free it may be useful. It is a bit of limbo actually. I have had a myriad or uncomfortable, weird symptoms for four years. FINALLY, this may be an answer. That is actually a relief, I just wish they did the antibodies before I went off gluten
  2. My Gp said we will treat me as Coeliac due to this coming back as detected. The other three alleles were not detected. Vitamin D is 20 (I'm in Australia, ferritin undetectable, iron was 4 (I'm vegetarian) and B22 was low but improving significantly with oral B12. He said because I went off gluten as a result of having tingling and numb feet and diminished...
  3. Hi all. I have been in here before. Went to see neurologist due to peripheral neuropathy in feet. He asked about celiac and I said I was tested in past. It was 2017 and he didn't do antibody test because of this and due to recent scopes although I don't know if they biopsies for celiac then. Bloods normal except I have undetectable ferritin levels and iron...
  4. I hope they are doing a colonoscopy unless they are sure you have haemorrhoids
  5. Emily I also have a friend who is celiac along with two sisters. One of those sisters was almost crazy until she was supplemented with B12. Now she’s so much better. I was also just reading a scientific report that stated that blind studies showed marked improvement in some pts with psychiatric illnesses. So not just someone saying something random, but a...
  6. Hi Emily. I have had a history of weird stomach issues but not typical celiac symptoms I don’t think. Constipation, reflux, heartburn, feeling like I can’t get enough air when eating some foods, panic attacks, anaemia (veg though) and I’ve had so many tests that have shown nothing. So needdd neurologist for numbness and tingling in feet and he asked if ce...
  7. Ah ok Trent’s. Thanks for the clarification. I’m unsure as to whether other biopsies were performed so that’s a good point you make. I would almost like it to be celiac disease because it would answer so many questions about vague and uncomfortable symptoms. I’ve even noticed the weird buzzing in my head has gone.
  8. The gastroenterologist did biopsy during gastroscopy. That should have indicated celiac if it was evident.
  9. Heart all fine. Heart was never an issue but they don’t have answers and were ruling things out. I spoke to neurologist, had blood taken and went off gluten. Not on neurologists advice, rather just because I thought I may as well as I looked up Hashimoto and gluten and realised that the two together aren’t ideal. The neurologist was amazing really. I’m...
  10. All the blood tests are being done now re: deficiencies so waiting for those results. I feel I have had B12 done in the past and think it was normal. I will get blood results on Tuesday hopefully. CT angiogram of heart as they wanted to rule out that the chest pain from ?reflux was that and not heart related. It began with a stress test which showed something...
  11. And I’m anaemic, however I’m also female and vegetarian. I had an iron trans a couple of years ago however it’s starting to dwindle and taking supplements doesn’t seem to work. I can’t seem to absorb it.
  12. Hi, I attended a neurologist appt last Tuesday, which I nearly cancelled, due to ongoing numbness and tingling in toes to mid foot. One of the first things he asked was ‘are you celiac’. I’m not. He thought all reflexes were ok but at the last minute decided on nerve conduction tests which were low normal. He was a little confused as he felt they should be be...
