DR1-DQ5 neurological symptoms
Murilo P replied to Murilo P's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Since D3 is liposoluble, it stores in your fat for a long period of time and gradually gets converted by the liver and then the kidneys to the active forms. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-019-40851-9/figures/1 We can ingest a large quantity because our body can do this process gradually, which should result in increased levels sustaining over... -

It's working - the gluten-free, candy-free, supplemented diet. Her moods have markedly improved, as long as her resilience, and memory. Cohabitation is still pretty bad, but I understand that behavioral changes take time and they only start after the mood fix has taken place, so I'm trying to be patient. Nasty things still happen, but it takes less time for... -

We rented a wheelchair, to circumvent her "phobia of walking within my field of view". After more than one year without hanging out together, we finally did it, twice. She felt very happy and fulfilled. It was weird but also fun and adventurous. She got chills of adrenaline while I pushed the wheelchair with her and the baby on her lap, through the ramps... -

@Wheatwacked, Yes, although I am focused on other things, I have increased the priority of the B vitamins since I started this thread. Looking at my purchase history, I noticed that even before she got pregnant I had already begun her on a potent B-complex bottle having B1+B2+B3+B5+B6. This is probably one of the reasons why the baby was born super strong... -

Hi @Wheatwacked, Thanks for the links, but this is not a priority now since her symptoms don't quite match the classical thiamine (B1) deficiency symptoms. For instance, no ataxia or muscle problems. She has been eating well for over one year now and she is not skinny anymore. She is actually about 10% or 20% above her ideal weight (though that's hard... -

Wheatwacked, When you are not on sugar, do you crave it? When you consume sugar, do you feel bursts of pleasure? In case you answered any of those questions with yes, do you think those sensations may have influenced your research, creating a confirmation bias? You know other carbohydrates will also elicit insulin to be digested and produce... -

Thanks. Yes, I have tried many things, such as hypnotherapy. Though I don't believe in divine intervention; I think it is all up to us to solve our own problems, if possible. Recently it has been a bit easier and I bet it is because I have fully removed all kinds of sugar from our home. We were consuming large quantities of a Brazilian berry-like fruit... -

@Wheatwacked, You are right, 250 mcg is 10.000 UI and I should have said ng/ml instead of mcg/dl. Sorry for my mistakes. I think your 90 ng/ml level is good, but in case you were still taking it daily before the blood exam, it is hard to know how much you actually have at intracellular level. With "I'm at it", do you mean you are still consuming... -

Yes, we did that during her pregnancy, with fresh liver almost once per week, but recently I'm focusing more on her microbiome with things like kefir and kombucha. I think the full absorption of the food requires excellent stomach acid, digestive enzymes, and a quality microbiome. Therefore, now I think it will be more valuable to invest in special supplements... -

Kathleen, I'm sorry about your family members. There are many different types of depression though. Walsh describes 5 distinct major types in his book. She is not depressed all the time. She is actually enthusiastic most of the time. She has anxiety-related issues from her family and can easily cry about day-to-day things because she is sensible, but can... -

@knitty kitty, Yes, I have been trying to give her all the vitamins but this is how hard it is: I need to offer the vitamins at the perfect moment, just after she ate some meal. But she needs to be in a good mood. Also, I have to be around until she swallows them, otherwise she will "forget" (her memory and attention have been very weak, indeed). While... -

Hey knitty kitty, William Walsh explains that methylation is primarily determined by genetics, though they said it can not be predicted only from genetics since there are too many genes involved, doing a "tug of war", as this Facebook post explains. Then, the nutrient levels would come as a way to modulate methylation, apart of your genetics. The... -

Thanks, @knitty kitty. I didn't know about that. I see this study states that Thiamine deficiency can induce anorexia, indeed. I have already reviewed the first 10 links you sent. I know how histamine levels are important. I read the Nutrient Power book by William Walsh, which links it to "undermethylation", which in its turn is linked to anorexia nervosa... -
Yes, Scott, I posted it exactly because I don't have any evidence yet, and your warning is important so that people don't waste their time (and money) with unverified approaches. However, as you showed me, the food sensitivity tests from Enterolabs are entirely based on stools, and this local article indicates there are connections between microbiome...

Has anyone tried to use these special water ionizer devices to treat non-celiac gluten sensitivity? For many years I have been wishing to purchase one of those to use it as a medical device. But I'm still unsure because they are quite expensive due to the titanium plates needed to break the water molecules. So I'm hoping maybe someone has already tried...

Yes, thanks. I have shown her the first two and last two sections of this study. To grab her attention, I used Google Translate, shrib.com and ReadAloud Firefox extension on my phone. I think the information helped a bit, but I still need something that links to her DR1-DQ5 test results, or some new exam. I'm now checking if we can do a brain MRI exam to... -

She did. While living with me, she has been consuming gluten once every 2-6 weeks, when she visits the shopping mall or after some "careless accidents" regarding the food bought online (such as ifood). However, during pregnancy, she did stop sneaking herself off the diet after I explained it could harm the baby. Using articles and videos from doctors, I explained... -

Hey Scott, let me clarify. We are from Brazil and the issue is not about the couple. The problem is that: she is compulsive about certain foods (and has suffered from anorexia nervosa / bulimia) she has a strong tendency to stay in denial about her problems (which is a personality trait) she has little self-awareness about her emotions... -

Thanks, Scott, but your reply is not very useful to me. Your directions only reaffirm my perception of this being hopeless. A few months ago she ate a lot of cake and the very next day she wanted to commit suicide. I have recorded her suicide notice message. This is how bad it gets. But you tell me (from the linked article) that she needs to consume... -
I asked my wife to do a HLA class 2 test because of the symptoms that I have been noticing on her. It triggers her 3 days of acute depression, acute irritability, and acute anxiety (panic), besides sinus headache. However, she has eating compulsions and cravings which lead her to stay in denial of the problem. The test results were: DRB1*01:ETYDR...
