I question whether dogs need gluten at all. Cats don't, and my dog isn't that far off a cat biologically, right? When my collie Archie was young we started off with a food the breeder had fed him, and it was clear he was having some problems with itchiness and his coat was dull. Paid the vet good money to be recommended a Hills food which was expensive...
