Sorry I was not clear. I never took benfotiamine due to the alleged side effects. I never had irregular heart beat before bypass surgery or at least it was never detected. -

hey knitty, thanks for the follow up. I did buy the benfotiamine before I saw a couple of the side effects that concerned me esp bracardia. I already have irregular heart beat and have had elevated liver enzymes before. I lowered the count by taking milk thistle in case anyone interested. I realize that many side effects are simply for legal protection but... -

I don't react the same way to all of them but do react badly to many of them where others may not. I also have a touch of hypochondria so when the labs come back too high or makes me anxious. That's interesting because I think that the lousy 81 mg irritates my gut. I'm sensitive to drugs in general and blood thinners are all the same to me so aspirin necessary evil. As they say, better to be a live chicken than a dead duck.

I was checking aip diet and discovered that aspirin is prohibited. I definitely can understand why that is but my cardio dr says to stay on it. So aip is done before I even get started.

Depending on which source you research sprouting or fermentation can reduce lectins. I sprout rice, buckwheat and quinoa. However, I admit that gas and intestinal inflammation still plague me after 5 1/2 mo gluten-free. I have been resisting but I may try the aip diet at some point.

Flavorings usually identified but don't know if there are laws that govern that. I bot lamb shanks that had rosemary flavor but did not see anything else that might be a grain so I ate it. I eat tons ground beef usually organic and grass fed from aldi. Not identified as gluten-free but hopefully it is. On the other hand I would only eat hot dogs which has...

Finally found something with less methyl folate and 12. Many b complex are loaded with too much biotin which I did not want either. I will take an additional 100 mg tab of b1. I will take this lighter version for 3 weeks and maybe take the heavier one for 1 week. Not happy that autolyzed yeast added as other ing but will look into it further. Amount... -

I have ingested 100 mcg of folic acid for many years but wised up and switched to folate about 3 months ago. I am now taking optimized b100 complex which includes folate 1240 mcg dfe (as 6s methyltetrahydrofolic acid, glucosamine salt, quatrefolic. OK maybe I will look at future blood test just for historical changes. I am taking b vitamins as I mentioned in my other post to you. Definitely interested in Benfotiaminefor intestinal issues. However I already seem to be feeling some improvement in diverticulosis. Constipation gone but I think that resuming glucosamine may have something to do with that... -

Here is my weight per event: sept 8, 2022- 181 lbs june 1, 2024 gluten free july 4- 143.5 lbs july31- changed from regular b to methyl folate and b12. oct 8- 150 lbs So weight hopefully coming back albeit very slowly. hi knitty, I figured while reading the first few paragraphs of your post that thiamin would come into the conversation, haha. Anyway, I just had annual physical and asked for the b vitamins and others to be incl in the blood test. B12, folate, and b6 came back about mid range but they did not take enough blood to complete the b1 and b2. Are the good results... -

Thanks Scott, The ing are salmon and salt. I had been buying aldi brand 14.5 oz can for around $3.30 but very difficult to get info on. I may upgrade to Safe Catch ($3.09 for only 5 oz) which claims to be gluten-free but does not say that on the can label. The co rep said most all fish canned in thailand or viet nam.
