Hi all! Maybe Joe's doctors knew him well enough to know they couldn't really control all that he did to himself at home and other places. So they just did the best they knew how with medicines to treat all the stuff he did to himself. Someone else said many of the pills may have been vitamins and minerals in individual pills.
