  1. So the real question I have for you is do you need the official diagnosis to stay on a gluten-free diet? I ask this because you did go on the diet for a while and it seemed to help with your symptoms. In order to get an official diagnosis you would need to continue eating gluten for a while before getting the test, and your dermatologist would need to do...
  2. If your symptoms continue you may want to discuss them with your doctor, because it could also be something else. Let us know how things go.
  3. You are right! In fact, I've never seen any studies done on this, so I don't know how he can even made such a statement at all. What he should say directly is that we just don't know because there haven't been any studies on this. I've heard too many anecdotal stories of people with dermatitis herpetiformis or severe gluten sensitivity over the years...
  4. Celiac.com 06/26/2020 - The only treatment for celiac disease is a gluten-free diet. No Cure for Celiac Disease No prescription drug or home remedy can cure celiac disease. There is no operation or medical procedure that can cure...
  5. Welcome to the forum. Note that I converted your post to lower case for all capital letters, as all caps is widely considered on the Internet to be yelling. I recommend all lower case instead. I will assume that you are not accidentally eating gluten, which could cause this, but since it happens on an empty stomach it makes me wonder if it could be an...
  6. Celiac.com 06/25/2020 - Jell-O Pudding and Jell-O Instant Pudding are manufactured by Kraft Foods, and while Kraft does not specifically label Jell-O pudding products as gluten-free, nearly all of them are made without gluten ingredients...
  7. Just in case, here is a link to our Gluten-Free 101 content mentioned:
  8. Which co-op, and what brand do you mean?
  9. The only thing I would add is that technically speaking your numbers should go down, certainly after two years gluten-free, and it may make sense to re-check what you’ve been eating, including medications, lotions, makeup, etc., to rule out a source of hidden gluten.
  10. After reading the information in our reference link you will notice that swapping potato starch with corn starch would not be allowed, as corn is included in the top 8 allergens that can’t be added without proper labeling. However, is isn’t clear if this could happen with some other allergens, so you have a right to be concerned.
  11. I don't know the exact amount, however I do know it is considered to be low in oxalate:
  12. It looks like it is naturally gluten-free, but does not have "gluten-free" on the label: https://www.lubriderm.com/products/daily-moisture-lotion-fragrance-free
  13. Kraft has been good about disclosing all ingredients, and has nothing to gain, and a lot to lose, by not doing so. According to the ingredients there is no gluten, but it isn't labeled "gluten-free" or certified: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Kraft-Baking-Caramel-Bits-11-oz-Bag/10308416
  14. We have a couple of recipes: The first uses chick pea and yam flour, and would likely be more healthy than the other which uses rice and tapioca flours.
  15. I also make Lipton Black Tea and haven't had any issues with gluten. On their site they post this statement, which would also include corn. Since it doesn't say "May Contain Corn (or Wheat)" I would assume it may be something else: https://www.lipton.com/us/en/our-teas/black-tea.html
  16. By the way, we've done lots of articles on the connection between gluten and headaches in sensitive individuals: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/celiac-disease-amp-related-diseases-and-disorders/migraine-headaches-and-celiac-disease/
  17. Keep in mind that if you do get a blood test for celiac disease you need to be eating gluten daily for 4-6 week before the test:
  18. Celiac.com 06/23/2020 (updated 02/18/2021) - If you have celiac disease, or are gluten-free for other medical reasons, getting a good gluten-free ice cream bar, ice cream sandwich or ice cream cone can be a struggle. Every summer, we get...
