  1. Technically speaking you risk false negative celiac disease results if you’ve been gluten-free in the weeks leading up to the tests. If your results are negative you could not rule out celiac disease, which, I presume, is one reason why you’re getting the tests in the first place.
  2. I may have been too harsh, especially not knowing how the conversation went, but my thought here was that if you told them you’re gluten-free and doing fine, but they pushed you into a gluten challenge, that approach seems wrong to me. I would have told you that you’ve probably got gluten sensitivity and not pursued a celiac diagnosis unless that’s what ...
  3. @marc9803 your posts, unfortunately, are full of misinformation. As @RMJ has pointed out, there is no antifreeze in the covid-19 vaccine, so please stop spreading misinformation that is clearly designed to make people afraid of it. You say that "There's another group who simply said they are not stupid to take any of those first generation covid vaccines...
  4. Actually vertigo is a symptom of celiac disease, and it is a symptom that I had before being diagnosed.
  5. I do wonder if a gluten challenge for some people is worth the risks, especially in your case where it seemed that you had figured it out, and were happily gluten-free. Obviously I wasn't privy to your conversation, but asking a celiac, even a self-diagnosed one, to eat gluten for a month to prove that your self diagnosis is correct is just wrong. If...
  6. If you have celiac disease and have been on a gluten-free diet for a while, probably at least a year, possibly two, and you still have ongoing gastro issues you should definitely consult with your doctor about it. I don't know why they would not want to pursue other possible issues. Keep in mind that during your recovery time you should also pursue other...
  7. There is not gluten in any vaccines that I know of. As far as I know there would not be a reason to put gluten into any vaccine.
  8. 01/01/2021 - It's winter, and that means maple syrup season is just finishing up in the maple growing regions of North America. That also means we get more than a few questions about maple syrup. Specifically, is maple syrup gluten-free...
  9. If it is in the pill form, it looks like it is possible that it could have wheat starch due to this ingredient "sodium starch glycolate" which can be "Starch glycolates are of rice, potato, wheat or corn origin": https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/drugInfo.cfm?setid=c7ab46cd-b3a0-3f9e-97e6-e6125e1a52a2
  10. Celiac.com 12/31/2020 - One question we get a lot is about gluten-free breakfast cereals. Specifically, which brands of breakfast cereals are gluten-free and safe for people with celiac disease? Finding a good gluten-free breakfast...
  11. This site allows you to search for the prescription name and if you click on the result you can see it's ingredients. It it only lists "starch" it could contain wheat starch: https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/

  13. If you have been getting regular gluten contamination in the foods you've been eating then you may have flattened villi and other problems associated with celiac disease, many of which are brought on by malabsorption of nutrients. It sounds like you already know this, but if you've been diagnosed with celiac disease you need to be 100% gluten-free,...
  14. Although getting hooked on nicotine isn't advisable to treat celiac disease, there is evidence that nicotine may have a protective effect against getting celiac disease, and there has been research done on this:
  15. I'm not in the UK, but did find this Web site. I can't vouch for them, but they do seem focused enough on celiac disease to have created a special site around it: https://gidoctors.co.uk/conditions-treatments/upper-gi/coeliac-disease/
  16. Just to be sure, is this the site you mean? https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/
  17. So it has only been 20 years now since they have resolved the inflammation issues with mRNA that you seem so concerned about, yet you are still so focused on this issue with this vaccine? Clearly they have worked this out, and I am not hearing of any issues with inflammation in those who are taking the vaccine (I personally know 3 people who have had it,...
  18. I just did a google search for Nima Sensor and it seems to be available at fsastore.com, and the peanut version is at Best Buy:
  19. A quick look at the ingredients here: https://www.fronterafoods.com/frozen-bowls-skillets/chicken-fajita-bowl indicated that there are no gluten ingredients, but the product is not labelled as "gluten-free," so cross contamination with wheat could be possible. They don't declare wheat as a possible allergen, even though it does contain soy sauce...
  20. Natural flavors and gluten-free, so it would not be this ingredient. Gluten-free Cheerios are also gluten-free...what makes you believe they aren't? If you made nachos I assume you used other ingredients, like corn chips, cheese, etc. Is it possible one of the other ingredients was contaminated? Old El Paso's Traditional refried beans don't have any...
  21. This one says that it uses corn starch: https://www.samsclub.com/p/mm-cetirizine-400ct/prod17030287
