I'm pretty sure that the new Crisco doesn't include trans fats...I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they updated their formula years ago.

Bacterial Link in Celiac Disease Found
Scott Adams replied to Posterboy's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
We do plan a summary of this soon. Also, we have been ahead of the curve on this concept: And they are now looking at this for MS treatments: -
You may be able to raise the money to start it, but the issue would be could you stay in business? All restaurants have a difficult time staying in business, and if you eliminate 80% of the population and focus on 10 to 20% of the population it might be even tougher. I think the Café would have to have food that would cross over and be good enough for those ...

I’m not sure if you saw this older article on this:

Cargill is voluntarily recalling 39 one-pound bags of product incorrectly packaged as Wilbur Dark Chocolate Covered Cashews. Sold locally through the Wilbur Chocolate Store in Lititz, Penn., the bags are being recalled out of an abundance of caution because of a wheat allergen presence. Wilbur Dark Chocolate Malted Milk Balls were incorrectly labeled...

The Osteoporosis—Gluten Intolerance Connection
Scott Adams commented on Dr. Vikki Petersen D.C, C.C.N's article in Autumn 2009 Issue
Better to discover this late than never! It took about 10 years for me to get a diagnosis (luckily I was in my 20's), and another 2-3 years to fully recover. It's unfortunate how long the average still is until diagnosis...I believe it is still in the 7-10 year range, even after the tremendous amount of research that's been done, and overall increase in awareness...- 3 comments

Can trauma bring on celiac ?
Scott Adams replied to Kirstyclem's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Certain viruses like rotavirus, as well as antibiotic use in youth, have been shown it studies to be a possible trigger for celiac disease. Many people have reported that pregnancy triggered it for them, but I’ve not seen studies on this (but studies show that women do have a higher chance of getting it than men). It would not surprise me it there are other t... -
Farm Boy is recalling Farm Boy brand Coconut Curry Lentil Soup and Farm Boy brand Leek & Potato Soup from the marketplace due to mispackaging because the former may contain milk and the latter may contain wheat which are not declared on the label. People who have an allergy to milk or wheat, or have celiac disease or other gluten-related disorders should...

Question about Wheat/Gluten in Skin Care Products
Scott Adams replied to Dave-C's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I would say switch to gluten-free versions as there hasn’t been actual research done to determine if gluten in lotion could affect super sensitive celiacs, for example some people with DH do report issues with lotions that contain gluten. -
Daily stomach pain and nauseated
Scott Adams replied to Bshake's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
@anasss Nobody in this thread has called anyone "ignorant," so please don't say that if it did not happen. Also, the use of all capitals is, in forums and other places on the Internet, generally considered yelling and impolite, and there is no need for that in this forum, or this thread. I know you are trying to help others with what you've learned... -

I’m still in this email list and have been so for over 20 years. I would not expect much from it nowadays as I don’t think too many people are on it, or if they are they don’t participate much. I get 1-3 posts a week now. -
Daily stomach pain and nauseated
Scott Adams replied to Bshake's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
So first, nobody here has called you ignorant. Second, "What the animal, eats you eat" isn't correct, especially if you are implying that gluten fed animals mean that their meat would not be gluten-free. There is no research to back this up, and again, this would be a very simple thing to test, so if it were true, I, and my board moderators would know about... -
Daily stomach pain and nauseated
Scott Adams replied to Bshake's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I’ve never heard of a pure rice, eggs, salmon or chicken that would contain gluten (no matter what is fed to the animals). Please be careful of the claims you make in a public forum like this, and provide evidence when you make such claims. It would be very easy to test these for gluten and I’ve never heard of any that contain gluten. Likewise products tha... -

Lab results question
Scott Adams replied to LindsRF's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Is there any way you can share the actual levels in his results? Normally a positive tTG IgG means that gatro follow up should be done to confirm the diagnosis.
