  1. Cubed Cube steak with a fried onion cream sauce with fresh asparagus.
  2. Tonight I made Jessica Seinfeld's recipe for her DH, Jerry's favorite sandwich: Balsamic Chicken Sandwich. I just used Pamela's flour and Against the Grain Baguettes. Was to die for. Found the recipe in March 20, 2011 Parade Magazine in the newspaper. You can search on "Balsamic Chicken Sandwich" and "Seinfeld" to find the recipe. I did two things different...
  3. You can search on myblessedlife and pumpkin to find the recipe I use. It was posted on Sept 20, 2010. I use a Betty Crocker's Yellow cake mix and only 1/2 cup better. It's good with pecan or with sliced almonds. This recipe is not a diet recipe. lol
  4. Roasted turkey with Sausage Stuffing (Udi bread, cubed with cooked Beeler's Sausage, onions, shredded carrots, red peppers, mixed with an beaten up egg), some leftover veggies and a salad. Making either Pumpkin Crunch cake or Crock Pot Pumpkin Pie Pudding for dessert.
  5. I was going to do Fried Fish Sandwich with Wasabi Coleslaw but a number of people on another forum were fixing Tacos. So tonight will be Taco Rice. I love the stuff. I got the idea off of The Pioneer Woman's Tasty Kitchen. Search for "Okinawan Takoraisu". I personally just make taco fixings and put on rice. I do not do the soy sauce. I'm sure it's good using...
  6. Stuffed Pepper Casserole. When I made it last I made enough for the freezer. I need to clean and inventory the freezer so I'm trying to just eat out of the freezer this week. recipe here:
  7. I've put chocolate in chili before but nothing else til last week. I did an 'Everything Chocolate' Dinner Party: Chocolate Covered Bacon, Spinach and Strawberry Salad with Chocolate Balsamic Dressing, Chocolate Flank Steak with Pineapple Salsa and of course a Chocolate Shamrock Cake (yellow cake with mint, topped with Hot Fudge Sauce and whipped cream). I...
  8. Tonight I made 'Salmon with White Chocolate Sauce'. Served it with fresh asparagus. The recipe is on a site called cacaoweb. The recipe is easy and fun to serve. I did not have any fish broth so I just used chicken broth. Worked fine. I used cornstarch in place of the flour. I mixed the cornstarch in a little cold water when I added it.
  9. Tonight I had (again, another batch made for the freezer) Sticky Wings (recipe above) for me. I cooked four large pork chops (3 into the freezer for quick meals) with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts for DH. This coming week it's Fish Sandwich (will use Against the Grain Baguettes) with Wasabi Coleslaw (recipe off the Internet), Lisa's Stuffed Green Pepper...
  10. I made these Chicken Wings (again) tonight. I used ketchup instead of the tomato paste. Gave it more flavor and I always have ketchup but not tomato paste. I boiled the wing tips in water with onion and celery. Froze this for the next time I need chicken broth. For the ginger, I always grate up a piece of ginger when I buy it. Then I freeze the grated ginger...
  11. Make your items you make for tacos, use no shell or tortillas, put hot cooked rice in a bowl, top with cheese and then layer on taco meat and any topping you desire.
  12. Taco Rice--I'm a taco lover and this is better than tacos any day. There are lots of recipes on the internet. I just make it the same way I do for tacos. I do add whole beans to the meat.
  13. Tonight is an easy gluten-free dinner. Steak and lettuceless salad. No thinking needed. Just eating. Last night for dinner I made fluffy pancakes. Our local health food store had a Gluten Fest this last weekend. I love to be able to sample gluten-free foods before buying. One company was making pancakes. Those fluffy light ones that I have not been able...
  14. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xanthan_gum Remember that xanthan gum is a laxative.
  15. Love Coke and Dr Pepper but hate the taste of Pepsi. No problems with them (so far!).
  16. As an adult I worked at a fast food place. I have seen that they can not be trusted. A dedicated fryer stays dedicated until a bus load of customers arrives. Then it's just as stated: a fryer dedicated to frying whatever is needed. After all it's a fast food place.
  17. Justing linking these two posts:
  18. Took a few days to get a company reply but here it is: March 30, 2010 Dear Friend, Thank you for contacting The J.M. Smucker Company regarding gluten content. At this time there is no gluten in Smucker's Ice Cream Toppings except S'mores Magic Shell, Special Recipe Butterscotch Caramel, 3 Musketeers Sundae Syrup, Milky Way Topping and Twix Magic Shell...
  19. Nothing to it. They have great mediation now. You won't mind at all. Some people feel a little discomfort the day after but nothing that should keep you home from work. My dh wanted to go shopping straight from having the test done. When I took my bf we went to lunch right afterwards. Be sure to keep eating gluten until your testing is done. Let us know how...
  20. I also do weekly B12 shots.
  21. Lisa, Xanthan gum or the dairy you put on the bread.
  22. My dad will be 90 in May. He's celiac and never gone gluten free. Will say his wife if Japanese so he eat more Asian than American.
  23. Never heard of this drink before. tfs
  24. I want to thank you and the people doing this study. My dd was in an accident in 1989 which resulted in her brain injury. She was in a coma for months. We found the best rehab hospital in the country (in Bryn Mawr, PA ). It was not close to us but we knew whatever care she got right after the accident would determine how she lived the rest of her life. Exercise...
  25. You might try adding potassium as a supplement or eat a banana daily. Mayo clinic doctor (not celiac related) told one of my family member to take a Benadryl every night for a few days and it might help leg cramps. This might work for your muscle problems. Wouldn't hurt to try. I use to have some muscle twitches. I couldn't say if it was going gluten...
