  1. Remember that lab results that are normal may not be your normal. Lab results are an average: some people are higher, some lower for their normal. My B12 and thyroid lab results were always in the normal range. Not until I found a doctor who told me that yea they were normal but low normal. Since I had symptoms of low B12 and thyroid I should be taking...
  2. The new drugs they use now are fantastic. You won't mind at all. I was worried because I always was vomiting after being put to sleep for surgery. I'd just had eye surgery in Sept, awake but drugged, it was great. Didn't mind a bit. I know I was asleep during my colonoscopy but I do not remember anything except arriving at the hospital. Same with my dh...
  3. Would make an interesting research study.
  4. I had forgotten this symptom! I always felt as if I needed more oxygen before going gluten-free so I did a lot of sighs!
  5. I had this problem the end of last year. My dr said just because my thyroid test was in the normal range didn't mean I did not need thyroid. She started me back on it and the hair loss stopped. The hard part is finding a doctor who can look at he whole person and not just test results.

I'll skip the chex mix for a few day and try it again. I haven't been eating Chex for breakfast for a few weeks since I knew something was not right about my digestive system. Just a little off. Knowing about...
  8. I do not find it odd. It says 'fit and active' which makes me think they are cutting out the fat so they have to replace it with something.
  9. I've always had some problems with pork producing gluten like symptoms.
  10. Gluten Free support group. This will be our second meeting at the Family Fresh store in New Richmond, WI. Treat tasting and sharing of ideas and recipes. This is a Dietitian lead group. Starts at 6 p.m. in the Cafe area. October will...
  11. Home Testing Results The cinnamon chex does make me sleepy but not the Honey nut or the plain Rice Chex. All boxes were labeled gluten-free on the front. I tried just the cinnamon and also mixing the cinnamon with the plain rice: always was extremely fatigued within 30 minutes. I tried just the honey nut and then mixing it with plain rice and tried...
  12. I'm sure soy will work. Soy Evaporated Milk recipe here: http://www.godairyfree.org/Recipes/Milk-Su...-Recipes-I.html
  13. When this topic of problems with the Cinnamon Chex posted I thought to myself, "well, they don't bother me". But then I got to thinking I'd only eaten the Rice and Honey Nut gluten-free cereal. So last week, being out of cereal, I pull out the Cinnamon Chex that said gluten free across the front. I've eaten it three different times within the last week...
