Man, if I'd have tried to eat sprouted seeds back when I was recovering I would've been stuck to the toliet like that woman in the news If you'd like to avoid the soy in Ensure (although I've never had any problems with minimal amouts of isolated soy protein) try Boost or Boost Plus. Diarrhea can cause a falsely low fecal elastase-the stool should be formed for the test to be really accurate. I hope you find a GI you can work with, I went through eight before I found one with a brain. Here is hoping you have some answers soon! -

I get the shots. Much easier than trying to take it orally. I do have a kind of "rust" spot on my rear end where I get the iron shots, though. That seems to be the only drawback that I have noticed. -

You can drink 5-6 ensures a day. The only vitamin you have to worry about the upper limit on in Ensure in A and my dietician said I'd have to drink 8 a day, long term for that to be a problem. There are many.many neurological complications associated with celiac disease. The symptoms can be so bad in some individuals that celiac has been mistaken for mad cow diesease, for example. I dunno. That formula depends on Protease to denature the gluten protein. I take 120,000 IU of Protease with each meal, and its never helped with gluten symptoms. -
