Key West has a lot of restaurants with "real chefs" who can accomodate you, so that would be my vote.

Not sure what help you are asking for, but since you focused on "oils" let me try.
I buy Chia oil for Omega 3's and Fish oil. Chia can be uses like flax in salad dressings and such. It has EVEN more Omega 3's than flax.
You can also buy hazelnut oil, macadamia nut oil, grapeseed oil, walnut oil and sesame oil. All are delicious.
I try to "rotate" my oils. So I am familiar with all of these. If you have an "application" question with regards to one of these oils. Just ask!
I pretty much dont eat anything on your list (most due to intolerance and some cuz I dont like them) and I am eating DELICIOUS foods.

My adrenals used to be tired. I went the natural route. I know they healed because you cannot raise Armour if your adrenals are shot. You will get horrible symptoms. Some people with adrenal exhaustion cannot even take 15 mg of Armour without reacting (when they are clearly hypothyroid).
I took 2000 mg Vit C a day plus the other supplements I mentioned for a good 6 weeks before I started Armour.
I also do a type of meditation everyday for 1/2 an hour. This was not easy for me as I am type A personality. Anal. High energy. But it paid off. I use a Rebuilder which makes the brain release endorphins. I find it relaxing. I hook it up and it goes off automatically in 30 minutes. I spend that time repeating healing affirmations to myself. I generally doze off though for 15 minutes. I wake up refreshed.
I have done many things along my healing journey and no one thing was the answer.
BUT that Neem did something to me. Something good. It was nearly a miracle. The bloat was awful. It is gone. Even tonight I had soup, plantain chips and coconut ice cream for dessert. A splurge night and NO BLOAT!!
I cannot say that Neem will do anything for anyone else. But I share my experience.

Before you go the steroid route, you might just try healing your adrenals.
Reduce stress as much as possible
Mediation
Extra sleep and rest
Vitamin C
Panteothenic Acid
B Vitamins
Astragalus
Things like this can be a big help.

And tonsillitis might be connected as well. Appendix out at 13. Tonsils out at 22.

I've had a "nervous stomach" since I was a kid. Was never dx'd tho. I did have an appendectomy when I was 13.

My migraines are gone gluten free....there is light at the end of the tunnel. You should get tested for Celiac. Find a doctor who will do a complete Celiac panel.

MMMM....key lime pie. These look yummy:

You could crumble some Pamela's gluten-free almond cookies for a crust and top with this.

I am like you. I am on the diet, but I DO NOT follow it to the letter. I eat sweet potatoes and a tad of amaranth flour once a week. I do enjoy Stevia in a few things. I believe the diet has helped me, but it isnt necessary for everyone to be anal about it. I just simply do not believe in "all or nothing" with diets. Even gluten free. While everyone who needs to should strive to be 100% gluten free (I do), it doesnt mean that if you accidentally get a crumb of wheat that all of your efforts are for naught. Or that you should constantly worry and obsess about everything you put into your mouth. This type of thinking just makes you crazy and depressed.
I believe living in a state of constant worry and fear cause more health problems than gluten, grains, saturated fat, cigarettes, etc. IMO
So if anyone is interested in the SCD diet, give it a try. Do your best. If you want a few parsnips or a squirt of tamari now and again....it's o.k.

Mine passed after about 3 - 4 weeks. Drink lots of water, cleansing teas like red clover, ginger, etc. Exercise helps too even if you dont feel like it. Sauna. Anything to get that "gunk" out of you.......

One of the women at my Celiac Support group was just talking about this a few weeks ago. She is the type that does not like to draw attention to herself at all. So she called ahead and got to speak with the chef. She explained her intolerance and her needs. He reassured her that she would have a great meal, so she made a reservation. The night they showed up with friends, she was handed a menu and the server said, "Tonights special is right here and he pointed to it". It was a gluten free entree and said so. They made a dish just for her and her dinner companions were none the wiser.
I hope you have a great time!!

Rice Custard Dessert
Ingredients:
* 4 cups milk
* 1/2 cup Splenda
* 1/4 cup rice, uncooked
* zest from one lemon
* 1/4 tsp salt
* 2 eggs, well beaten
* 1/2 cup raisins
* cinnamon, to taste
Preparation:
In a large bowl, combine the milk, Splenda, rice, lemon peel and salt. Stir to dissolve the Splenda.
Pour into a well buttered 2-quart casserole dish. Set the casserole in a shallow baking pan filled with 1 inch hot water. Bake, uncovered, at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
Remove from oven and stir well. Continue baking 45 minutes longer. Remove from oven.
Gradually stir a small amount of hot milk mixture into beaten eggs; stir back into remaining milk mixture in the casserole, blending well. Stir in raisins.
Return to oven and bake 30 minutes longer, or until the custard is set and the rice is cooked. Remove from water bath. Sprinkle with cinnamon and serve warm.
****This looks yummy****

I would sub using Agave nectar or Splenda for the sweetener.

Good News!!! High end restaurants are generally the SAFEST places to eat. They have real chefs who are willing to prepare delicious gluten-free food for you. I dont eat at expensive restaurants as much as you do, but the last one I went to a few months ago was great! I called ahead. Then when I got there and the hostess checked our reservations, she seated us and said the chef would come speak to me before I ordered. He came out and was very nice and explained their kitchen and what he could cook for me. I had a delicious cut of fish with an arugala salad and a gluten-free desert that was awesome. After we finished, the chef came out and asked me how everything was. I was treated like a Queen.
You can tell your friends that due to your Celiac, you will likely get to meet the chef and get excellent service.

Good job!!
But I order my Pure Encapsulations through Amazon....quite a few companies sell it. You just cannot buy directly from their website. But give the ones you found a go!!

Is that like being slightly pregnant???......LOL
Welcome aboard!

Most of us can identify with the life you have had unfortunately. We know it all too well.

What he is saying is that if you have Celiac genes, then you can get the disease at anytime. Not that you WILL get the disease. Not everyone with the 2 recognized genes do. You can get tested so you know if you have the genes. For some it helps solidify their commitment to a gluten-free diet. It was for me.
-
It does NOT diagnose Celiac. It only can show a genetic propensity. I had it done because I wanted to know for myself and if I had a gene I could have passed on to my daughter. I do not have the recognized U.S. celiac genes. I have 2 genes recognized by some other countries and Enterolab as being gluten sensitivity genes. One being connected to neuro symptoms (my main symptoms). Since I am neg. with blood, refused biopsy, I did the gene test just to see if I had any real reason to cut out gluten. I did. So I did. And I am better for it.

You dont want the oil for internal. You would want Neem Leaf Extract. This is the one I am using:

Only 1 little pill a day. I will say I get nervous taking new supplements. So I poked a hole in it and put a dot on my tongue the first day, then 2 dots, then 3. No reaction. I swallowed the pill.
I did have die off.....so be warned if you try it. You might feel worse before better for a few days. But after a week.....bloat ALL gone!! Even if I eat fruit after supper. No problem. Amazing for me. But like I said. Everyone is different. I cannot say it will work for you at all. I just share my experience.
-
Im having some success with supplements. Read my signature. I also take sublingual and transdermal Methylcobalamin B12. I feel I am on the right path for me. Everyone is different.

Hertoghe states that the human thyroid produces around 80-100mcg T4 and 20mcg T3 every day, with further T3 coming from the body's conversion of T4 to T3. These figures are variable and decline with age by approx 10 - 20%. So you can see that pig thyroid - although in a slightly different ratio to our own - is still much more bio identical that a T4 med alone!
This would explain why most people do best around 3 grains of Armour as it is what we would produce naturally.
-
I think if AliB could she would change the title.....I dont think she meant it literally. You can see from her posts that she is open to other ideas as well. Like all of us, she is in process.......
VERY VERY SOON .. we will find it impossible to find REAL gluten-free....Ummm....unless I am missing something SCD is gluten free naturally. No grains, processed foods, preservatives, etc. allowed. Only meats, veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds and dairy in the form of homemade yogurt.....
-
You should CERTAINLY investigate further with more tests. And then if I were you, try the gluten free diet to see if you improve even more. If gluten is your problem and you are celiac, over time you might be able to add dairy and fruit back in.

Neem is an herb from India. If you Google it, you can learn a lot about it.
