I have trouble with pasteurized milk. The raw goat milk yogurt seems to suit me just fine so far. Yeah, I believed Ann Wigmore when she said we didnt need meat. I learned otherwise. I really need some each day. But I have never liked eating tons of it. I could never do Atkins to save my life.
If I go too long without fresh raw fruits and veggies, I start to feel "toxic" for lack of a better word.
Right now I am doing the SCD goat yogurt for breakfast (only mine is raw), super ripe banana or pumpkin smoothie with homemade almond or hazelnut milk. Snacks are almonds/fruit or hazelnuts/salad. Making lotst of soups cuz they are easily digestible and I have left overs. Chicken and fish mostly for meat. Im going easy on the eggs. I go 4 or 5 days without eggs now. Lots of greens cooked and raw. Some baked squashes (which I will sometimes eat with salad for a snack or a meal).
Things are going pretty good right now.

We've all made mistakes. Dont be too hard on yourself. You learned a valuable lesson. Hope you feel better soon.

Only my family knows this one. So I almost cant believe I am sharing it.
Years ago I had a roommate. It was her house and I rented a room with access to the rest of the house. She and I were two peas in a pod. Both clean freaks. The house was kept spotless. One night at around 10 pm, I was in my room and felt a lot of gas coming. But for whatever reason, it wouldnt quite come out. All I had on was a long t-shirt cuz I was ready for bed. So in an effort to relieve myself of the horrible gas cramps, I assumed a bent over position facing the wall. When this proved fruitless, I figured I would "help" out by gently spreading my cheeks a bit. Well what happened next still makes me laugh so hard I have to pee myself (almost). Now at the time, it wasnt funny at all. I was horrified. That perfect white wall was covered. And it smelled really bad. My bed covers were ruined too. And I was dog tired and ready to sleep. It was 10 pm and my roomie was watching T.V. in the living room. So I slink out and nonchalantly get all of the cleaning gear. Bucket, mop, paper towels, Pine-sol. Well, she knew I was a super neat, but this got her attention. And she loved to clean. I remember praying...oh please Jesus...please dont have her want to help me "clean my room"....please oh please......I remember telling her....I wanted to really clean my room good, that I was having issues and looked at it as therapy. So enjoy your show and dont mind me........

Dont think "nanoparticles" can be dangerous? We human beings are "nanoparticles" compared to the size of the earth and look how we are mucking up our planet.

I was a 100% raw foodist for 6 months. I did it PERFECTLY. I went to the Hippocrates Institute and everything. I had sprouts in every window. I juiced. I made "rejuvalac". I dehydrated (under 130 degrees of course). I will tell you that it was C.R.A.Z.Y. to live like that. I did nothing but think about, buy, sprout, clean, juice, mince, puree, assemble, clean up after food non-stop. And I was S.T.A.R.V.I.N.G. all of the time. I lost way too much weight. Looked like a skeleton and became anemic. And I did it BY THE BOOK!!
So while I agree that including raw foods in the diet is very healthy, living 100% raw isnt very practical at all and for me personally it didnt make me healthy. The opposite.
Keep in mind that our ancestors who ate nothing but raw foods only lived to about 30 for women and 35 for men. Just keep that in mind.
"Paleolithic females died younger than males due to the stresses of pregnancy and childbirth while still carrying the burdens of food-collecting and moving camp."
See that was what was killing me...caring for my child....food-collecting......and taking care of the camp.

You got me too....beautifully put. Congratulations to you and yours.

Yenni,

There almond flour is the best I have found too. Very very good.

You are far braver than I am. I hope you can hang in there for the tests.

I think 3 others got sick off of that SB Pumpkin spice.

I have it. It has some useful bits, but overall, I wouldnt buy it again. I tried fermenting some gluten-free grains using the instructions in the book and it made my blood sugar really skyrocket. Maybe I will dig it out again and see if anything looks appealing this go around.

This is my favorite:
BANANA BREAD
Ingredients
3 cups almond flour
1/2 cup honey
3 eggs
2 mashed bananas
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup raisins (or chopped walnuts)
Instructions
1. Mix ingredients.
2. Bake for an hour at 350 degrees F (180 C) until knife comes out clean (start testing at 25 minutes if using 9x13 pan). I line the pan with buttered wax paper.

Hubby and I always walk every morning before work. Pre-gluten-free, there were some mad sprints for home from time to time. And others, I just "knew" that "running" wouldnt get me to the bathroom in time. One time my dear sweet man sacrificed one of his socks so I could wipe my bottom in the bushes. He never lets me forget that one.
I am so thankful that I no longer have to "run" to the bathroom. Or make my first order of business anywhere I go "finding the nearest bathroom". So thankful!!

All enzymes die at 130 degrees. So I dont heat my raw goat milk past 110.
The catch is that you better "know" your goat milk source. Should come from healthy, grass-fed, organic and clean goats. We have a great dairy close by that has the best goat milk. So clean and pure. They exceed Federal guidelines for sanitation. It is all they do. In FL it has to say "for pet consumption only", but nobody is feeding it to their pets. This dairy has been selling "raw" goat milk for over 20 years in Tampa and I have never heard one case of anyone getting sick from it. So I feel really good about it.

Do you have a copy of your Endoscopy lab report? Were your villi damaged or flattened? If yes, then if it were me, I would give up dairy for a few months to let those very tips of the villi heal.
Often Casein the protein in milk is the biggest problem. Lactose is a sugar that many cannot break down.

Enterolab's genetic tests are accurate. They use the American Red Cross for Molecular Gene Analysis.

Is she getting gluten at school?

Do you have copies of your actual lab work? What it sounds like is they found damaged villi or flattened villi in your intestines (gold standard sign of Celiac), but they did the bloodwork to make sure (a few other things can damage the villi). Your bloodwork was positive also. YOU ARE CELIAC.
You need to be 100% gluten-free to heal. And most have to cut out dairy for a few months as well until symptoms subside.
You had symptoms right? Why did you have an endoscopy?
-
Sorry you are not feeling well.
Did you get tested for H. Pylori? If you have it, it will need to be treated. I personally would use Mastic Gum and Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice plus lots of fresh/clean water to get rid of it. But ask your doctor about this.
I would also take Digestive enzymes with my meals. Like "Digest More". No HCL (Hydrochloric Acid for now). Plus a good probiotic. And "Pepzin GI" to heal my stomach lining.

Eat everything else not on that list.
This is what "I" would do, but check with your doctor before trying anything you read online.

If G-d came down and said "Sharon you can eat anything you want and never get sick." Well, yeah, then I would eat anything and everything. But if I stopped having gluten sensitivity I would not eat gluten. No. I do not think GRAINS are fit for human consumption. I think of grains as animal feed (as nature intended). I believe grains are the bane of our existence. I believe they lead to degenerative diseases like diabetes and osteoperosis. They block and bind to important minerals we need to regulate blood sugar and bone growth.
So no. I wouldnt eat it in that respect. But if G-d wants to give me a free ticket.....I'll take it.

The starter shouldnt be added at that high a temp. 90 - 110 is good. I am actually trying the goat milk yogurt myself right now. Had an issue with the Keifer I was drinking (edema) but it was pasteurized. So I made a batch of "RAW" goat milk yogurt with acidophilus starter and have been eating it for 5 days now with no problems. I think the pasteurization is what gets me. I need all of those enzymes!!

Your tummy might not be producing enough HCL (Hydrochloric Acid) to digest meat. You can supplement if the steak bothers you to see if that helps. But you may be just fine.
I was vegan then vegetarian for about 7 years. Till a Chinese doctor told me I needed to eat red meat. I went and bought a steak and ate it that night with no problems (when it used to kill me). So it might be smooth sailing for you too.

I get my almond meal from www.digestivewellness.com online. Bob's makes it, but this almond flour is far superior IMO.
I love the banana bread. These recipes are so simple and delicious. Keep in mind, nothing will taste like "gluten" foods. Enjoy them for what they are. A sweet delicious treat that can help you gain some weight.

I think it is great! But take a dish of your own (with enough to share) just in case. Trust me on this one.
