So I thought I had been gluten free for 5 days. Today gluten free everything, however last night I had a "gluten free" pizza at la porchetta. I have some strange digestion symptoms going on at the moment of which I only associate with gluten.
what do people think? I dont know... la porchetta has been diligent before in keeping my pizzas gluten free... that is the onkly suspect thing by the way nothing else has been

First I feel fine but I had gluten 2 days ago, is it likely to affect me?
I am basically doing an hour of interval in the morning, sprint stop etc
then 13 hrs at the end of the day an hour of weights
All I can think of is gluten has stuffed up absorption and I'll be sorer.
I have excercised before but I have been lazy lately and got unfit

Hey my experience is I dont even tell people im coeliac unless its a girl I reall like or trust
and when I do they are normally fine with it.
Seriously girls are on diets all the time... im on a permanent one lol.
I have never for a moment thought this disease could have any impact on dating
-
hey man
Coming from someone who has stuffed up a fair bit dont get to down on yourself. It is done now man, wake up in the morning and its back to gluten-free even after 3 weeks I find you sort of just get use it and then it becomes normal.
Also think about taking food, long days piss me off at uni purely for the fact that if I havent go my gluten-free food is starvation and headaches.
I think similarity to you but gluten free or ms... I don't think you can even drive with MS mate it is severely limiting and frighting.
good luck
la porchetta offer gluten-free pizzas, and so do alot of other shops by the way. gluten-free beer dont know... how do you like spirts? thats how I get drink these days

Wanted to save depressing health issues to my late 40's but by goddd i have to deal with this cr*p at 22.
Im a symptomatic too, it scares me to think I have another 60 years dealing with meticulous gluten free diet as I cant even get it right now. My doctor says in Melbourne at the Alfred there is a vaccine/ pill in a third trial stage.
I hope in the next years to eat as normally and simply take a pill. hoping for a cure in my life time without a doubt

rumours of JFK
as a young male he is the only remotely cool person unfortunately I have found to be struck by this disease
for the pretty girls and Posh has it

I agree mate!
I cant even get two weeks totally gluten free and we have people talking about two years they've got to be joking.
I am aympathic so in my guess.... I dont feel a difference if I have gluten or not, if i have 20 beers though Id feel sick but for me it simply keeps accidently slipping int
Today I am at a concert with no food to bring and no gluten free food in there soo... starve 14 hrs vs eat gluten... il be taking the gluten unfortunenly
I am also inclinded to believe that alot of the people talking about the healing dont actually know. They are not doctors they don't know the extent of your damage etc. My doctor said aim for for 2mths at first for me even though that is probably not fully healed it is a good start

I got them some two years ago before diagnosis I have a feeling its because of the low Vitamin E absorbption. But yeh basically all over my biceps and some on my theighs they look really ugly
-
ive not heard of this the only symptom I get around fresh bread is a rumbling stomach and wet lips
-
I got it too... well i was just hungry and had some chips and cookies bad idea. I have close to a 24hr jam packed day ahead of me and really hopinh cos i only got a small amount there is no d other than that i dont get sick
-
thank you psawyer

THANKS for the reply's people giving me a goal and something to work towards.
Yeh I am still getn the hang of it very much not completly gluten free but trying.
My new strat is simply meat gluten-free bread veggies and fruit, this way cross contaimination is hard and its hard to get fooled by certain foods if i dont have them

thanks for the terrific posts
"The elevated mortality risk for all causes of death combined reflected, for the most part, disorders characterized by immune dysfunction."
This study isnt quite so promising

Wondering if there is any sort um respected estimation about how many years of your life your likely to lose from this disease?
Diagnosed at 22 here. Had not symptoms to late 21 really but I think gee maybe somewhere between 5-10

Just wondering adding some cottage cheese to diet. Pretty sure almost all dairy is gluten free, but just thought maybe there is a secret ingredient I dont know of which may be in cheese that i should know of!

Been getting tiny amounts and well I think it could be from the pan me and my mum both use it she cooks sausage and chicken breast etc in it things with gluten
where's i cook chops and gluten free sausages am I likely getting miniscule amount of gluten?
It is washed thoroughly between each use with hot water and detergent but still not sure can someone give me the heads up if I need to buy my own pan or what?

first wanting to thank the people for answering as always. The only reason I ask is these accidental gluten are destroying my resolve and eroding my will to comit to a gluten-free lifestyle as I simply keep messing up and going back to square one. Just had another incident now it is very depressing and really getting to me.
Since I have ignore the disease for 6mths plus and now I try and the accident gluten is probably doing as much damage as what I was when I simply ignored it
Bit of a rant because im tired pissed of and glutened but meh tomorrow we are back to day one... the fourth day one of quest to remain gluten-free
bread butter, fruit, and meal replacement that's gluten free is all that's on the menu this way i cant fail but have to go hungry
prop to riceguy notice you in a few of my threads being helpful

gluten seems to show up everywhere from my lollies to my freakn milk, on the off chance anyone is familar with coles lamb just the packged version cos I just ate some

Hello
Your staving because spinach isnt giving you enough calories.
You are also starving because alot of gluten free food is not high in fibre or in calories (Vegetables may be good for you but they dont fill an active persons stomach)
What I have learn t is you cannot get by being coeliac without
-gluten free pasta
-gluten free bread
These are the sort of foods that keep you fool. I have one or the other everyday. So gluten free carbs will stop the hunger and no you wont put on weight, if your hungry there is already a defict of calories!
I also have a gluten free burger with the lot twice a week refueling egg, meat, lettuce, Gluten-Free bun = win

Hello
The person above me is a perhaps clowning around I certainly hope he is not serious, because YES a formal diagnosis from a DOCTOR not the internet will certainly help you.
I think your lack of motivation perhaps comes from the ambiguity surrounds the issue of whether you have coeliac or not. You need to best tested alot of alarmist people here will tell you you have everything from MS to cancer to coeliac etc but of course they dont really know so to speak.
Get a blood test, find out for sure, then its up to you if you want to ignore the disease and get MS or something. I ignored the disease for 6mths after diagnosis because I just couldnt be f*cked basically but once you look into how life altering something like MS is it changed my perception
