  1. What type of roast? How much does it weigh? I would roast the roast -- then cut it into little pieces to use in a variety of ways. Salt and pepper is all we use regularly on my meat -- I do use dried herbs and garlic as well if you have them lying around.

LMAO Thanks for the giggle...perhaps I'll add this at the end of the Irish Blessing I was planning on First Corned Beef that I prepared all the way from scratch...when he popped out of the brine crock he looked and smelled just right -- now --- hmmm, let's call him "Pat" is bathing in beer and seasonings in the crockpot -- smelling great here...
  4. yum Addie....we - the hubby part of we - have gotten so good at cauli-fried rice even my men are enjoying it meanwhile...I got really pissed at the mgr of the specialty liquor store that TOLD me, "yes, we carry Green's Double Dark Gluten Free Beer" Liar, Liar, pants on fire!!! Redbridge it is...didn't feel like driving or wasting more gas to go to...

  6. Yep...that makes sense and I'm looking forward to hearing how your new gadget works. Spaghetti squash took awhile for me to master - seems like it would be simple - and is now -I buy large quantities when they go on sale and keep in our storeroom that stays cool like a basement or root cellar. Ill post how to cook them when I'm back on my laptop.

I like Karen's better... so I ate way too many vegies all day...forgot to pack protein when I left house at 645am...returned home starving so I downed some more vegies cuz they were easy to throw in a bowl with pork bone broth I had simmering on stove. dinner for me was steak and chicken. men and sissy had steak and chicken tacos. all happy...

  10. Dinner tonight is simple pork chops and homemade applesauce....maybe a vegie too. BUT...I bought a huge beef brisket and have it happily soaking in brine to become corned beef -- why is it called corned beef when there is no corn in the process? It gets to bathe until Sunday AM - then transfer to the crockpot with Green's Double Dark and a few spices...
