    Good Morning All- What a wonderful night -- first family gathering (yep they are always at our house -- long before food was an issue) this year that I wasn't sick, tired, bloated or in pain for the whole event LOL -- no ski daddy here -- except my hubby -- my Dad is the farthest thing from sporty that you can get -- he is a wonderful musician...

    Dad's 82nd Birthday tomorrow so we celebrate tonight! Crunchmaster Crackers with warm BACON Jam & Tortilla Chips with Spinach Dip for snacks Steak, Creamy Garlic Enchiladas (oops just remember I need to add this recipe to another thread), The Original Ceasar Salad Blueberry Cheesecake for my Dad and the rest of the family Blueberry Ice Cream...

    plan b...soak your feet in a big bowl of hot water.

    I'd go with a possible combo of all four. Take a nice long hot bath with epsom salt and bubbles -- or just shampoo or handsoap in a pinch. Try to get a good night's sleep. Keep food simple during finals and if something smells bad...toss it.

    L2T is right again -- shoulda made a triple batch -- only went for a double today -- might add a touch of bourbon next time too! All my guys are beyond happy with me this evening with just a taste - tomorrow they'll have some with breakfast and be eternally grateful to you

    Yes - mine's still bubbling at nearly four hours...think I'll go for a walk before it needs to be finished and jarred.

    It smells heavenly -- still bubbling in the crock. Got a beautiful fresh Christmas tree this morning - fresh pine and bacon jam wafting together is quite nice Several? More to try I used the one a few pages back -- think it was Tuesday or Wednesday. bacon, onion, garlic, coffee, vinegar, brown sugar and maple syrup

    I get a free pound of bacon Yay....just in time too -- making my first double batch of L2T's Bacon Jam today -- realized my secret stash of real maple syrup had been found and used up -- house should smell great today Welcome Home IH! So wonderful to hear that you were kicking up your heals in grand style

    There is stuff at the pharmacy called red cross dental - it'll take the pain away until you get to the dentist. Warning - it tastes horrid! But does buy you time.. We take this along when we travel as my husband also has soft teeth that have a knack for breaking away from home.

    Lightbulb just popped up over my head! My husband catches tuna when he goes fishing - when he catches enough we "can" it in mason jars - some years we run out or have none so we by canned albacore. I like ours - but not canned!! If next season provides I'll save a few jars for you

    Nine years...you beat my record...I collect everyone in the family's cast offs and make my kids build their own -- before I get shipped off to the "bad mom island" they do have three year old netbooks for school use.
