  2. Try very hard to not become afraid of any food. Keep a good log of reactions and trial any food you remove after some time. The trial should be that whole food only...as in eat one hard boiled or fried egg (with nothing in the pan...good nonsticks work for this) all by itself..,preferably before anything else has been ingested that day and only on days...
  3. I'm not Karen but do make Brazilian Cheese Bread often thanks to Addie's suggestion many moons ago. Here is one I use most, but have done others: http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/easy_brazilian_cheese_bread/
  4. I make a bread like substance with apples ground in the blender added to coconut flour, sugar (or agave or honey), cinnamon and one egg...the egg could be replaced to but I'm fine with them in moderation. Oh I usually add a touch of vanilla too...I love vanilla Half coconut/half almond flour is good too.
  5. We use a lot of different brands of pasta and found the range of time to be the problem....we set timer for the longest recommended time and then check...usually 1-2 mins longer. And ALWAYS rinse gluten-free pastas with lots of hot water before serving.
  6. The incredible edible egg! Recently got them back in moderation...so thankful to have them back in my safe foods. Never removed due to gluten...eggs are gluten-free and one of the best portable protein sources ever!
  7. Green Beef and Chili Rellenos here
  8. Love it! My dad picked up that book because I told him how easy some of his favorite desserts I send over are to make.
  9. Desert here is apricot dump cake...had a bunch of apricots about to go bad so I threw them in a pan Men will likely whip some cream with a bit of sugar and vanilla...yep, taught them well!
  10. Wasn't noteworthy ... Back to celebrating Colleen I go Cheers!
  11. It's trash night here...may never know. Ran by a new store we have here (well been there for about a year)...grocery outlet....tons of gluten-free items that I think failed to get picked up by chains....I took a bite of one and wasn't half bad...square brown rice cracker that was bulkier...hmm no puffier than most rice crackers.
  12. Try Glutino (freezer), Canyon Bakehouse (fresh bread section) and our new favorite Three Bakers (freezer). Three Bakers even have a "rye"... Had to try a slice of that myself Dinner tonight is some oven crispy chicken tender thingys. If they are a hit I'll share here. Also have the other half of baked beans I made in KFG last week back in KFG for...
  13. Last night was turkey meatloaf and bacon brussel sprouts. Tonight is rosemary chicken with pasta (zu-noodles for me) and broccoli Tomorrow is some crazy baked cheesy chicken nuggets with sweet potato fries and some sort of veggie.
  14. Eggs do not have gluten. If they are farm fresh they do need to be washed well. If someone has issue with eggs, I would argue that they are having issue with either the white, the yolk or both. Eggs have high lectin and histamine content which can cause bloating or other symptoms that could make someone with celiac disease erroneously think they had...
  15. Hey Laura....I'm good with stabbing too! Sounds like a good idea to find an alternative to running it through the digestive tract. My daughter with Lupus has always had trouble with it ... Abdominal issues and more. So KFG is fast becoming Lisa's second favorite gadget! Crock pot Lasagna was awesome...was better than any other labor intensive...
  16. Just wanted to watch him roll again. Added benefit around here is limiting the teens (mine and the spares) to three enchiladas
  17. I roll when entertaining and sometimes for the guys...depends on my mood
  18. Thanks IH! I forgot to tell you...I have been eating tomatillos...small quantity of chopped on top of my creamy garlic enchiladas...perhaps I should try to make verde enchilada sauce soon. oh Karen forgot to tell you...they worked great in the crock. Instead of rolling ... I cut corn tortillas in half and layered...men thought they tasted better! ...
  19. They are more like wide egg noodles with a curly edge...we use them in everything that we used to use wide noodles for....going to give it a try. Thanks
  20. Crock 'lasagna' up mañana ... Have you used reg noodles in the crock...was thinking of using Sam mills mini lasagna noodles layered instead of lasagna noodle...they should get done in three hours too I'd guess.
  21. Ps...forgot to add a step. I always sear meat before throwing in the crock...really high temp in fry pan for just a few seconds on both sides for chops, all sides for roasts.
  22. KFG getting a workout this week....last night was improvised but men loved. Layered: Sliced apples Cinnamon Sugar Two bone in pork chops Garlic salt and pepper Thick sliced onion Two more pork chops Garlic salt and pepper More onion About 1/2 cup of broth High for three hours. Pulled the pork chops Added a couple Tbsp cornstarch with...
  23. I canned a couple dozen jars of pasta sauce a few weeks back...making these hot nights easy. Diced up some baked boneless chicken breast to toss in a jar of sauce this morning. Men will boil some pasta and toss a salad...I'm going with zu-noodles as my farm share basket has some pretty summer squashes.
  24. "Jenny, Jenny I got your number."
  25. Hi De Ho Dinner Thread Peeps! Fantastic weekend...was able to spend two full days at Comic-Con (first time in past three years my body has allowed that and I am extremely thankful)...only had two close calls from heat which the air conditioned rooms with water coolers for each panel rectified. Most notable changes these past few years are the costumes...
