all we want is for you to check out the blood in stool!!!! hugs
-
sorry you are having this issued.I don't want t o scare you but PLEASE I'm Begging now, if you have this much blood in your stool & you haven't eaten something like a quart of beets at one time , you need to go to a clinic or doctor or ER ......please, please ,please don't put this off Be safe ......I have two friends who had less blood than that in their stool , laughed at me for begging them to go check it out, didn't go & now wear a bag...totally not worth it.... it is never normal to have large amounts of blood in stool.
You could have internal bleeding, an ulcer..... hugs

I take B-12 shots weekly & keep my levels close to750/ 800 I retest with blood work every three months....

Don't give up! yes, some kids act out for attention & need a good old fashion scolding but most has an hidden issue in a health reason.....Have you considered the high fructose in stuff? Calm stress is made for kids & is gluten-free works wonders for many. they also make an adult version. it seems to take the edge off....
-
My suggestion is to have other testing done to make sure there is not another issue....I know when our kids got to much sugar it wipes them out of any reasoning... Other allergies? Has the mental function testing been done? ADHD, Autism spectrum? There is a trigger somewhere.....
hope things gets better....

Arlene , maybe we need to start a new support group!!!!!!

It's the smell I run past one holding my breath every time I pass one... I also cover my nose with my hand... Believe I look like Mario A running past one of these joints!!!!!! I also walk longer distances to avoid one of these places....up close....

You go for that crab!!!! That is wonderful that improvement is happening...He must be a tough old bird! I do think the older generation are VERY tough, they had to be....
You also are now a road warrior traveling back & forth... Welcome to that club......
I agree God is Good.... well GREAT..... hugs

Kareng I didn't understand either at first I thought they were mocking the gluten-free diet then I thought when I re-read it I took it another way so yes, I'm confused... the poster doesn't say if they are gluten-free......
just weird , the post????

Hello, your post confuses me a bit.. Are you wanting to have gluten-free foods but don't care about CC? or are you liking the law of 20 ppm?
gluten-free foods under 20 ppm may not be safe for all celiac...I run a gluten-free support group & many can not eat gluten-free foods under the20 ppm by law , meaning they have to eat gluten-free foods that are certified gluten-free......this disease is like a chameleon all the same yet so different .....
I for one am very thankful restaurants are trying to give a better , safer, healthier gluten-free meal....
gluten-free food is the medicine for some one with celiac .....gluten-free itself is not healthy , until the last few years when better gluten-free flours become known most of the gluten-free flour blends are rice, starches, & sugars so I don't call that healthy.. The newer gluten-free blends often use nut flours, added fiber to add to the protein & less starches & sugars...
Please explain the Health craze? if you are talking about gluten-free healthier foods I'm in.....twelve years ago I never thought about whether a gluten-free food was healthy I just wanted to be able to eat, now I think about better gluten-free products to nourish the body & keep healthy....

oh, in the prior post you said she loved it. sorry. the white cake is really good... King Arthur we think is very good too...... I can say if she is looking for an exact wheat clone that will never happen! gluten-free comes very close but not exact..... good luck

We LOVE the cakes from Annalise cookbook... She also is a great person.....glad it will work for you.....

for work is there a microwave? They do make an instant mac & Cheese , Gluten freeda has sandwich pockets in several varieties,You also can make your own gluten-free dough & make the same thing... we love sandwich petal wraps they come in flavors to wrap meat, cheese, lettuce & sun dried tomatoes up in....
gluten-free breads are not forgiving , we now use canyon bakehouse which needs no heating.... a side note is not to put condiments on the bread until ready to eat ....keeps bread from getting soggy...
Munk pak has just recently came out with pouches of gluten-free oatmeal several varieties for on the go... Not bad in a pinch...
Go picnic has portable gluten-free boxes... I'm not a fan but it's food.....
Jerky & cheese with gluten-free crackers...
Pacific has small boxed soups to have either cold or heated, drink right out of carton....they have heatable thermos on Amazon...just add your soup.
individual tuna & crackers,, add a fruit & there is lunch....
Lance has come out with gluten-free peanut butter or cheese crackers for snacking...
Do you like protein shakes? Blender bottle & mix it up....these can be made with a lot of leftover fruit & veggies add flax or salba seeds to boost the values....
Cold pizza, not everyone likes that but ! !!!!
salmon spread on rice cakes , gluten-free chips....

I've been gluten-free for twelve years now very strict...very clean eating.. But I still get a weird ill feeling when I go past an Auntie Ann pretzel place... I can be in fast food & everything else just this one gets me!

Many gluten-free bakeries will do a gluten-free wedding cake....Annalise Roberts has a cook book called Baking Classics... I think she could have been the first baker to do a gluten-free whte wedding cake. I make it for ourselves & gluten eaters...they love it......
For mixes I like King Arthur Flour gluten-free cake mix....the best...I'm not crazy about the cheaper cake mixes......
congrats on the wedding.

okay I think you got double H ell for this so now make it into a learning lesson & move on without ever touching gluten again!!!!!! Make yourself a promise....your too young to have a more serious illness hit you because you were playing around....
-
Arlene , that is hard for anyone let alone an older person.. I will pray for him & you all as well......
The place that had breakfast caught my eye.....I hope you will be able to dine out some some so you both can relax a little which I'm sure is next to impossible..... hugs

NO NO NO...you have probably healed your gut a little in 3 months if your were strict....isn't a little foggy & cramps enough to make your brain understand that you can't have gluten? sounds like "Russian Roulette" to me.....you can continue to cheat no one will stop you but down the road your body will succumb to the ill effects of gluten & then you can deal with cancer, osteoporosis, diabetes, anemia & more... good luck

I have not tried any of their products but they come highly rated among users....

Arlene, sorry to hear about a person being burned. That is painful, blessings to him.....I found this , it looks good....I hope this helps.. mamaw

I do have an important question? Why have you not got tested?

In general oats can be hard for many to digest. Years ago oats were off the table for celiac . Then came gluten-free oats......I was never an oat for breakfast lover in my gluten days but for some strange reason I decided I missed oats! So I tried the gluten-free oats & love oatmeal cookies.... I now do well with 1/2 cup of gluten-free oats maybe twice a month more than like I get a weird tummy feeling , so I guess I learned how much my gut can take.....
A new person that hasn't had any healing of the gut may find it feels like overload on their gut or worse.... When starting out we try to tell people to be kind & gentle to their fragile tummies to let the body heal as much as possible without added stress... gluten-free foods in the natural state without a lot of processed gluten-free either....some foods are just hard to digest....

If you google gluten-free multi vit & min many will come up...
-
hello, yes, yes, yes, to light at the end of the tunnel!!!! It takes the gut a lot of time to heal from all the years of damage & many times the gut fights back...For some they feel better in an instant for others it can take a couple of years.... you need to be patient with yourself... Eating lean, clean healthy foods can be a big help in allowing the gut to heal...So if possible stay a way from processed junk food for at least 3-6 months.. If you are craving something then have a small amount to satisfy your craving...you may have gotten gluten from eating out or it just maybe the gut telling you to give it plain gluten-free foods. The stomach can get over load from the foods you eat....Your illness didn't happen in a day & your healing will not happen in a day....
Once your gut heals & you absorb the food you are eating you will soon learn that all the sweets packs on pounds .I too was a sweet eater from a very young age...
You also may want to consider getting your kids checked as well....
With celiac we do lack nutrients such as B-12 Vit D, Calcium, magnesium & more... bone loss, Many of us have developed other autoimmune disorders like thyroid issues, osteoporosis & others....
The great news is this is all manageable & becomes second nature once you get through the healing process.
Some things to decide is will your house to all gluten free or dual ? You will need to take care of yourself at home. Small kids , big messes.....wheat crumbs in toaster ( get yourself a cheap one for gluten-free only).... cooking utensils & pots & pans should be okay if no scratches or gouges in them.... no double dipping into jars of things .. A few crumbs from wheat can cause a reaction.....
Make your self a gluten-free goodie bag for your car, work , this way if an unexpected happens you will have something to eat & not be tempted to eat a gluten food.... After you are better & healthy & decide to dine out look for places that offer a gluten-free menu. As you know that is not 100% always safe either but it is better than cold turkey...when we do Italian I always take a breadstick or Italian gluten-free bread in my purse....Hamburger place take a gluten-free bun if they don't offer....
You will be okay just give the body time to heal.....
