About Me

I've not been diagnosed Celiac, nor do I intend to go through that process.

After Gastric Bypass surgery 6 years ago, I've developed a series of nutritional problems and reproductive problems.

When I'd been told about how bad my hemoglobin, iron levels and red blood cells were working, I started researching. The main reason I'm gluten free is to reduce competition in my intestines so that I have a shot at iron being absorbed.

I'm sticking to this idea until my doc disagrees with my assessment. So far, he's on board. I haven't been gluten-free long enough to heal any damage that I may have.

  1. A lot of people have issues with blood counts of varying nature. I'd have your doc run a more comprehensive metabolic panel and check your trace elements and minerals. Iron is a common deficiency in celiac.
  2. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!
