    There seems to be some question amongst celiac sufferers as to whether Lawry's Seasoned Salt has gluten in it. I use the product often and, personally, have suffered no reaction from it.

    We have a restaurant near us called the Fish City Grill. I had eaten there a few times when they first opened up a couple of years ago, but they had very little gluten-free items on the menu.     We bought 36 acres and are remodeling the house that is on it. We plan to move out there when the major renovation is done and the barn is built.     Sandwiches At Last

    Well, I am happy to report that all of the food I bought at the gluten-free store is good. The Glutino crackers are excellent. They're a cross between a saltine and a Ritz. The bread, made from amaranth flour is pretty decent, too. Not like wheat bread, mind you, but good enough to enjoy. And the Glutino cereal tasted sort of like a mix between Honey Comb and Captain Crunch.

    The Texas Roadhouse has a gluten-free menu. I went there tonight and they have quite a few things on the gluten-free menu. One puzzling thing is that you have to ask for your grilled meat to be prepared without "grill shortening". I can't imagine why their shortening would have gluten in it.     I like to have lunch with my friends at La Madeleine's, but since so much of their food is bread based, I usually have the same couple of things over and over, which is kind of a drag.     I don't understand my fellow celiac disease sufferers when they say that they're tempted to eat gluten, or that they just had to have a piece of cake, or a piece of bread. They say they know they'll suffer for it, but "it won't hurt to have just one piece", or "I just had to have it", etc.
     
    What are they thinking? I'm beginning to think that some people just like to be miserable or have something to complain about.

    This is quite upsetting. The longer I'm on the gluten-free diet, the more sensitive I'm getting. Is it because my system is no longer accustomed to compensating for the gluten influx, or is it just the progression of the disease? I guess I'll never know since I discovered my celiac disease before I suffered many symptoms.

    My son bought the lawn mowing business. Well...my husband and I loaned him the money for it. He's been working hard already contacting customers, becoming acquainted with the equipment and getting it all ready to go, setting up his schedule, etc. I think he'll be going out to mow for the first time tomorrow.     My son's school started today, although it's just a half day and a party. He's in 11th grade now and it's his first time to drive himself. Eeek!
