  1. We grilled burgers - I like mine with cheddar on a bed of lettuce. Then we grilled some scrumptious corn on the cob. And I made some red and purple potatoes in my air fryer! Homemade coffee and cheese cake ice creams.
  2. I ordered some of the sipping broth. So we will see how it comes out . Canyon Bakehouse has good products.
  3. You know everything about all kinds of "cooking"! ?
  4. As I re-read this, I am wondering if it’s a joke? Took 1 puff and coughed? Sounds like they may never have tried to smoke before? That wouldn’t have anything to do gluten.
  5. Anyone else getting these? Making it hard to post. Wondering if I will even be able to post this? ?
  6. I don’t know about the papers but I have yet to find any new drywall and joint Compound that actually has gluten. That may have been an ingredient many years ago. A sore throat and chest infection doesn’t sound like a typical gluten reaction for a Celiac.
  7. My 2 boys have both been tested twice and negative. But my sister and brother won’t unless there is an issue . But my brother told me that they looked into Celiac when his wife was having issues and found that the only way to test for Celiac was an autopsy after you died. ?. My niece has had at least one of her kids tested a couple of times. ...
  8. Mine is this broth in a tea bag. Now I haven’t tried it but it sounds like a great idea. http://www.sippingbroth.com/index.html
  9. I am stealing this idea from someone on Facebook. I just thought I would add “ worst” to it. What gluten-free product/food did you discover this week that is great or really awful or over- rated? ( please be kind. Some people may just not care for something while others may LOVE it) Just kind of fun to learn about new products
  10. Even if she had posted it, this is 9 years old. There are a lot more places that do gluten-free well these days. Some of the restaurants might be out of business, etc. a good resource is to google “ find me gluten free and the city name”. The Find Me gluten-free website has reviews by others that you might find helpful
  11. Here’s why you aren’t “ not absorbing nutrients”. You small intestine is 16 feet long ( approx). All of it is not damaged in the first place. If it had been, you would have been a mess. Put good nutritious food in there and all the good parts can “ eat” it . As you start healing, more spots will be able to “absorb “ the nutrients.
  12. Tonight I am just using stuff I have laying around - half an onion, some carrots (chopped up), little fresh spinach, can or 2 of beans, can of rotel tomatoes, Can of regular chopped tomatoes, maybe some taco or chili seasonings- on some rice with a little cheese.
  13. With all the money you were spending on food and expensive soda for these people, maybe it would be about the same to get your own room? I can’t imagine it’s very safe to room with total strangers - even if you had no food issues.
  14. The hard seltzer’s are really gluten-free. They are made from sugar cane and flavors . No gluten . Drinking a Truly right now
  15. Last night I chopped up some fresh tomatoes and simmered them with a little olive oil and garlic. When they were very soft, I added some cooked turkey Italian sausage and about a third of a jar of left over pasta sauce. Served in on penne with a good helping of fresh basil on top. Sometimes I put arugula or spinach in the sauce and put a spoonful of the...
  16. 2 nights ago, we went to Louie’s Wine Dive. I had fish and chips. Husband had barramundi on a rice something. All gluten-free and all yummy! This is not an exclusively gluten-free place, but they only fry gluten-free and are very careful. Lots of the food is naturally gluten-free so that helps
  17. Sorry . It sucks! Those are my words of wisdom for today. ?
  18. I agree. I did yogurt everyday- a couple of times a day . Probiotics didn’t seem to agree with my gut. Maybe I never found the right mix
  19. I would suggest you look at this website - https://www.cureceliacdisease.org/ They have some very good info about how testing is done and other things that might help you understand what is going on. I have seen from your posts that your doctor didn't explain things very well.
  20. It might be easier, if you didn't keep making new topics for things you have already asked. It would keep all the info together and no one (you or a person answering you) would have to repeat what they wrote before. You can reply to people's answers with some more questions if you need clarification
  21. Some of this I have already tried to explain on your other posts.
  22. They used to contain malt. Looks like they have changed the ingredients. Always go by the ingredients on the current package.
  23. We don’t delete topics. People can use them when they are having the same issue. It might be nice if you explained what you did to work it out - so if another teacher is in your position, they could see what you did
  24. Use some common sense- of course plain veggies, fruit, meat are gluten-free. In general, in the US and Canada, ingredients are required to be labeled. All ingredients. Wheat has to be called out in big letters or an allergen statement. Not sure if Canada requires that for barley and rye. rye is in almost nothing- rye bread or crackers and they would...
