  1. We had BBQ sauced chicken, red potatoes cut into squares, tossed with olive oil and Italian seasoning and " fried" in the oven and carrot sticks.
  2. You've got to hide the veggies better, maybe under the cheese on the toast?
  3. Left overs from the office party last night. Cheeses, crackers, pineapple, carrots, brownies & truffles.
  4. I'm thinking of making it for Xmas as a side.
  5. I loved that stuff. We are having turkey tetrazini with left over turkey and a spinach salad.
  6. Yes or Yes. One thing I like to do with left over stock is freeze it in measured amounts that you use for a recipe. If you make something that calls for 1/4 cup, freeze it in 1/4 cup sizes.
  7. Isn't that a Kraft product? Kraft labels all the important (gluten) allergens clearly.
  8. Watch out for the Lipton onion soup! I have seen on here that the newer versions seem to have gluten in the ingredients.
  9. We are grilling steaks that I marinate in worchesshire (?) sauce , garlic and.black pepper. Red potatoes cut in little squares, tossed with olive oil and Italian seasoning, put in a foil packet and grilled. Regular salad. Hub's millionth birthday so I will make a BC brownie mix with Kraft Carmel bits, hot from the oven, vanilla ice cream and Carmel sauce...
  10. I have separate dish sponges for hand washing. I have a pinkish purplish color for gluten-free. Everyone else has the blue. I also have some red cooking spoons and cutting boards. Red duct tape for my margarine tub, pb, etc. I also use paper towels a lot. I change dish towels/ hand towels everyday.
  11. I had that with fresh lettuces and popcorn. After 3 months, I did better with a small amount and now have no problems. Except popcorn... I can't stop eating it!
  12. Thanks for the info for Chicago, I am waiting for a response but they did receive my e-mail.

  13. <3 Thank you so much for being there for me..

  14. My understanding is that there are many types of mold. The blue/green stuff on bread is way different then the black stuff behind your refrigerator. That is probably the really bad stuff you hear about. The mold in the air here right now that's makeing me & the neighbor's dog have the sniffles, is a different strain, too. 100 degrees, humidity makes...
  15. I think there is mold on lots of things. There is mold on the bread before it has grown big enough to see. So it would be hard to avoid.
  16. On perscriptions, you want to find out before you buy them and leave the pharmacy if they are gluten-free. Get the info from the pharmacist and call first. If you take them home & they aren't gluten-free, you might be able to get a new script from your doc but your insurance won't pay for the same med twice. The pharm most likely won't take them back...
  17. Oh Tiffany! I have both hand crossed across my chest! How awful! Can you work around it? Mack probably doesn't want to read about our breast feeding trouble.
  18. Hey Mack! My bro has this & he is 44 with all fingers and toes intact. The main concern is when its cold, he must make sure to keep his fingers warm. This is hard when skiing but he works it out. He always had cold fingers and toes, even as a little goober. His normal body temp when you take his temp orally is always 2 degrees lower then others....
  19. I'm not familiar with them but look at the ingredients, website, maybe email or call the company.
  20. My younger one is actually interested in the military. He's 14 so he's also interested in Forest Ranger, grade school teacher, bar tender, etc. But I would be interested to know how they handle your food needs. During training and school in the States, it's probably easier or the food is up to you. But when deployed, what do you do? thanks
  21. Did you post this several places? I swear I just answered this. Anyway: they have oreos or cookie dough mix-ins. These could still be on the mixer arm or some part of machinery. It's also possible the Reeses were put in a container that yesterday had the oreos in it. Usually these types of desserts aren't safe becAuse of the risk of CC.
  22. I got the impression from some things I have seen about Old El Paso that the ingredients on lots of products are gluten-free but the company doen't pay to be certified. It's likely a CYA situation.
  23. Hellooooooo psilly!

  24. I think the next time the recruiters call for my 17 year old son, I will tell them I have Celiac and it's genetic. Maybe it will scare them off. There is nothing wrong with military service but he would better serve the country if he finishes college first as he wants to be a mechanical engineer. Just re-read this. I am not bashing the military. We would...
