  1. Is the grandchild a minor? If so, that would be medical neglect and he could lose how child
  2. That wasn't how experts have explained it to me/in seminars. Please post your internet search. Perhaps we are not talking about it in the same terms?
  3. Why is even doing an endoscopy? Your blood results were negative for Celiac?
  4. That’s not how it works. You don’t eat 3 foods and add the ppm. Also, less than ten ppm could mean 0. Parts per million is easier to think of like a percentage- it’s ppm of the total food you eat at once. if everything is under 20 ppm, it’s gluten-free.
  5. Chili’s isn’t the kind of place that has a chef. Most of the food is pre-made & the heat it or grill it and add the fresh stuff ( like lettuce).
  6. Lipase is not a test for Celiac. Did they do actual Celiac blood tests? If you have been eating gluten consistently since 2016, you should get the Celiac blood tests. CBC, etc are not for diagnosing Celiac
  7. We have video game trucks that you rent for birthday parties here. Not sure about finances.
  8. Everything you put on your skin cannot end up “ traveling through your body”. Skin keeps things from getting into your body. There are a few things, like your estrogen, that are specially made to go through the skin barrier. Lotions may appear to go through your skin or be “ absorbed” but they are going through the dead skin layers on top.
  9. I think there is too much concern over tocopheral. Please read this great explanation. Also, please remember, that gluten must be ingested to cause a Celiac reaction . https://www.glutenfreedietitian.com/vitamin-e-from-wheat-germ-oil/
  10. I don’t think that Cap’n Crunch nor Frosted Flakes have ever claimed to be gluten-free in the US.
  11. I eat strawberries and all the other foods you say you “ react to” on other threads. Sounds like you have some other thing going on like a fructose issue or that raw food is harder to digest.
  12. Oats are often grown where wheat is grown and the same equipment is used to harvest, store, etc. rice is not grown where wheat is grown.
  13. That is not true! A Celiac cannot have gluten. You can have everything else. Some people choose to not eat other things for a number of reasons. But Celiac disease is not one of them
  14. You might want to say what country you are in. I haven’t heard about those in The US yet.
  15. If I got lash extensions - I wouldn't worry about gluten in the glue. I imagine it is all chemicals that could be derived from anything but would not likely contain the gluten protein. But it is on your eyelashes - you won't eat it. If you did get an eyelash in your eye - the amount of the whole glue you ate would be sooooooo tiny. Then if 1 ingredient...
  16. its meant to be put on for the day and is good under makeup. I find it soaks in a fter a minute and it is not shiny. Its lotion - not a makeup, so "matte" isn't really what it is. there are makeups that have sunscreen and a matte finish. You could give it a try. If you don't like it on your face, use it on your hands and arms.
  17. Can you get Cerave am? It’s only 30 spf- so it’s just a daily not a play in the sun kind. https://www.cerave.com/skincare/moisturizers/am-facial-moisturizing-lotion-with-sunscreen
  18. I forgot to ask - did her numbers ever go down? What do you mean by very high now?
  19. If you let her eat Cheerios and , I am not sure which oats she is getting- maybe she is getting small exposures? Maybe something else she is eating is not gluten-free? I have seen people over the years who really think they are gluten-free but they are eating something that actually is not. For example, a guy ate corn flakes every morning. He thought...
  20. Maybe try The Fasano Elimination diet first? Its cheaper. The big BUT here is your daughter . She would have to want to do it. At 10, she is at school and other kids houses? So something this restrictive might not work.
  21. Einkorn is a type of wheat. It contains a lot of gluten. It is not for people with a medical need to be gluten free - such as Celiacs.
  22. No I didn’t. I am referring to this part “Long-fermented sourdough breads have been shown to reduce gluten-content in wheat bread.”
  23. Seriously? Sour dough with “reduced gluten content” is NOT for Celiacs. and this nonsense that something is used for a non- food purpose is silly. Water is used as a coolant in coal and nuclear power plants- I guess we shouldn’t use it?
  24. They tell you what was tested - skip how it was tested - just know it was tested correctly. At the end it willl tell you it tested less than 5 PPM . And that is great! Or, the few things that test as containing gluten , are usually share with the public
  25. I have eaten it and never had a problem with it.
