  1. Not to make fun of this but - maybe switch out the broccoli for green beans? Broccoli every night is no fun! Seriously, while it might be nice to have gluten-free pasta or bread or crackers - there are so many naturally gluten-free foods you could eat. Add BBq sauce to that chicken. Eat a different meat. Pork is cheap. Try other veggies and fruit...
  2. All of the above posts are more than 10 years old. ingredients change over time, so please check for yourself before eating.
  3. I am not familiar with the product. What are the ingredients? IN Canada and the US, wheat must be listed.
  4. Are you eating completely gluten free? I am not sure how many days it takes to start working. Maybe that is a good question for your doctor?
  5. You may have increased or decreased things like fat or fiber. I think this is usually a lot about what you have added or subtracted from your diet. Also, if you have Celiac, it will take months to years to fully heal. this could just be healing going on.
  6. If you think gluten is bothering you, go to your doctor and get the Celiac blood panel. That is a good place to start. Testing for Celiac must be done while you are still eating gluten.
  7. You damaged it for more than five years - it might take a while to heal. Maybe a few years. Some people who have un-treated Celiac for a long period of time never completely heal.
  8. for testing for Celiac, that is not a low number at all. My understanding is that the test & ranges were developed for another reason but found to have a use with Celiac testing. https://www.cureceliacdisease.org/faq/is-an-iga-result-of-39-where-normal-is-81-463-considered-deficient-and-could-it-invalidate-anti-iga-tests/
  9. That sucks. I think you should review the company on yelp, etc. Also, any local FB pages. That carelessness would concern me about the safety of all the food.
  10. Those posts are over 10 years old. Please check the product for up to date ingredients.
  11. Sounds like they test it for gluten.
  12. I don't work dry about the tocopherol. The fact is that, on the slight chance it is made from wheat, the protein is removed. And the amount of the oil in the sunscreen is very small. "Keep in mind that most vitamin E appears to be derived from soybean oil and most edible oil in the U.S. is highly refined. Even if unrefined wheat germ oil is the source...
  13. Sound alike you might have a cold or allergies? Not sure this really has anything to do with Celiac or gluten. It is possible to have other illnesses.
  14. You could have eaten gluten. Celiac disease takes much longer than 3 weeks to heal and nerve problems can take months or years or never completely heal. give it some time
  15. The info on this thread is 8 years old. So people should always check for more up to date info before eating something.
  16. Why not? If you are following a good gluten free diet, you aren't damaging yourself.
  17. What a disappointing comment! I thought being gluten-free was going to make me glamorous eventually...... I wasn't sure how many years it would take..... Maybe after the first five and still not glamorous I should have realized it wasn't happening? ?
  18. And the ones in the US are gluten free, too. They test at less then 20 ppm. The wheat is in a flavoring used during the initial cooking process.... You can read about it on this site in multiple locations.
  19. McDonald in Canada have gluten-free poutine? That is usually not gluten-free
  20. There is nothing magical or evil about gluten. If there were a few crumbs on a sheet, they should wash out. I supposed if it was something like a burlap flour bag it would be harder to clean.
  21. You got a blood allergy test? Not a Celiac test? your gynecologist can order blood test for celiac and to see if you are anemic - often a sign of a celiac
  22. Did you get tested for Celiac? Even if it isn't Celiac , it could take more than 2 weeks to see if gluten is the problem. If you have been tested for Celiac and it is negative. You might want to try to start with a very simple gluten-free diet - just a few ingredients like chicken, salt, pepper, olive oil, rice, potatoes. Get your self feeling better...
  23. This is a very old thread but - In a month - how many times are you getting glutened? You might want to be much more careful. You won't heal this way.
  24. Here sis another cookie recipe that does not need expensive gluten-free flour and xantham gum - Flourless chocolate cookies Mix 2 cups powdered sugar, 1/2 cup cocoa, 2 tsp. cornstarch, 1/4 tsp. salt, 2 egg whites (not beaten). Should be thick enough to form balls; if not, add more sugar. Should be sticky and form a imperfect ball...
