  1. I don't know what country you are in. In the US, Crockpot/slow cookers are very inexpensive - under $50 for a really good and large one. these recipes could probably be made on the stove with a little extra liquid. She is gluten-free. https://www.ayearofslowcooking.com/
  2. If they can have peanuts, these cookies are easy and delicious. Gluten eaters love them. 1 cup peanut butter 1/2 cup brown sugae 1/2 cup white sugar 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla stir well & add chocolate chips if you like. Make them into balls and placenta on ungresaed baking sheet. Flatten with a fork. Bake at 350F...
  3. The stuff that cost some more is the gluten replacement product- cookies, bread waffles, etc. I am sorry your husband is being a baby about this. Very sad he prefers his children to be sick. It sounds like he has a lot of issues. Please consult a good attorney - medical neglect is a good reason for him not to have any unsupervised visits. ...
  4. You should probably tell us what country you are in. I am in the US so I will answer for the US. There are a few gluten-free food pantries in the country. Many other food pantries may have some gluten-free food set aside. You could certainly get things that are naturally gluten-free there and save your money for a loaf of gluten-free bread...
  5. Sorry. You are damaging yourself by eating gluten. "Silent celiac disease is also known as asymptomatic celiac disease. Patients do not complain of any symptoms, but still experience villous atrophy damage to their small intestine. Studies show that even though patients thought they had no symptoms, after going on a strict gluten-free diet they report...
  6. Just means they don’t test for gluten
  7. Yes, you want to help your parents but you have to help yourself first. If you can't take care of your dad, then don't try to. If you are sick, you can't take care of him. So your father needs to make other arrangements. Sounds like he can fix food and do things for himself. Maybe you or other family members could just check in on him daily, shop for...
  8. You have to eat gluten to get a Celiac reaction. So, for things that don’t get in your mouth, it’s not important. There really aren’t many products with gluten. A few will have wheat germ oil. Things like the vitamin e in a product , even if made from wheat, does not contain gluten. You might want to really examine your diet. Do you eat out? Do y...
  9. Do you have someone who can be there with you? A mother, friend, someone. Maybe he would be less likely to blow up if someone else is there?
  10. Odd. No one I know that is lactose or FODMAP intolerant vomits. If you are going to a specialist, than ask him? Find out what your kid is being tested for. Ask questions until you understand it or take someone with you who can listen for you and help you understand later.
  11. Lactose intolerant? FODMAP issue?
  12. I think the kinds of places where you have to ask to change gloves, etc may not be the kind of place for you to eat at. Just changing gloves doesn't take care of the fact that there are gluten crumbs in the cheese, for example. And your comment about deciding what you want to put in your body - if you go to a place that can't give you safe food and...
  13. How did your Husband take this news? Will he support them being gluten-free?
  14. Usually, if it’s that high it is not from other issues. Often thyroid issues are related to celiac
  15. I don’t see the gluten-free bakery I thought was there
  16. HyVee grocery stores for gluten-free snacks and Lara bars . Louie’s wine dive in Kansas City does great with gluten-free - it’s a chain from Des Moines . Whole Foods are good too. Let me check for more .... I think there might be a gluten-free bakery.
  17. My son has a "permanent" retainer on the lower teeth. These are the most likely to move. Its on the back of his teeth and you don't see it.
  18. Are you sure your biscuits were gluten-free? No cc? Depending on where your honey comes from/ what plants the bees use - it can sometimes be a bit different. Or maybe it is too much sugar?
  19. Reading your post, I would say you should not have more children. Sounds like you have more than you can handle in your life right now. It would be unfair to a baby. i say that because that is how I decided if I should have another baby. I had what I could handle between myself , my hub and my kids. I didn’t want to add more than I could deal with a...
  20. Orange juice doesn’t need to daybreak “ gluten free” on it. That’s like an Apple saying “gluten free”. What gluten would be in plain orange juice? It seems to me that you are able to eat wheat, so none of these drinks should bother you at all. But maybe it’s something besides wheat that bothers you?
  21. This wheat paste stuff is just a myth . The wines you like aren’t even made in barrels. The very few expensive ones that might use a flour paste do not get it into the wine. That would mess up the wine!
  22. This is info from 2012. Not sure if they make these any longer or what the ingredients are now. So do not go by the Op’s “letter”. Ingredients and manufacturing practices change in 6 years
  23. Might help if you said what resort?
