  5. We made Krusteaz cinnamon coffee cake for breakfast! I have done them as muffins, too. Very tasty. Plenty of topping. You could add a simple powdered sugar, milk/water and vanilla glaze drizzle, but they don’t really need it.

  10. Have fun making bread but it is still not gluten-free for Celiacs. gluten-free wheat starch is a thing but it is not what you are playing with by fermenting bread. So trying to say it’s the same thing is incorrect.

  21. About 30% of people have a gene for Celiac. But only about 1% actually have Celiac. So a positive gene is not diagnostic of Celiac. But you have a wheat allergy - so you need to be almost completely gluten-free because of it.

  23. I don’t know why you had a stool test instead of a blood test. But taking the actual blood test for Celiac while gluten-free is not a good idea. It tells you nothing. If you have Celiac , and are eating gluten-free, you shouldn’t be making antibodies to gluten that are found in the blood. So- the blood test would be negative.

  25. Sounds like eating ahead might be the thing to do. Then explain to everyone why you aren’t eating. If she has some plain fruit or something- that might work. In a bigger gathering, I would eat ahead but most people wouldn’t notice I was only eating the fruit and drinking the mimosas.
