  1. Actually.... I am not sure all the Celiac experts even know me.....?
  2. If you want accurate tests for Celiac do NOT go gluten free until all testing is complete. Blood allergy tests don’t seem to be very accurate for food allergies and do not test for Celiac.
  3. Yes. He has healed! But if he eats gluten, he will get sick again
  4. Isn't that what you are worried about? The natural flavor of wheat being one of the flavors? and , in the US and many other countries, wheat must be called out in the label.
  5. Naturals flavors are fine. Even if it were “ wheat flavor” it would be fine.
  6. I am a bit confused- have you been diagnosed with Celiac? How can you tell you have “ leaky gut”? I am not sure that is something immediately apparent after eating. It certainly isn’t triggered by smell as it is a condition where food gets out they the intestinal wall into your body - simple explanation . Do you mean diarrhea? That is definitely a sym...
  7. What are you basing this very specific time frame on? Please post a link to your source. Gluten, like any food, will be out of the digestive system within a few days. That’s how the GI tract works. Antibodies can take much longer to leave the body. There are some studies that show that some people may continiue making antibodies for a f...
  8. If you want to discuss cornbread, maybe start your own thread on the cooking section?
  9. I saw who wrote it and didn't really read it. Seemed like it should actually be a paid ad for her "clinic"
  10. Is it one of those cheaper hand cranked ones? If so, I would just get a new one. whatever kind it is, if you can’t clean it, I wouldn’t want it. I have had the hand cranked before Celiac and we washed it. Sounds kind of gross to never wash it
  11. I think the finger prick is a very basic test. When they do an actual blood test, you get more info about the type of anemia and what part of the blood might be affected. For example, I don't think it tests for ferritin or the shape of the red blood cells. In anemia, you can have a lot of red blood cells but they are larger and/or misshapen.
  12. You not be in the US. Our tests don't look like that. Why not ask the doctor for an explanation?
  13. Did she have a positive Celiac panel before? Is she eating gluten-free ? If they she has Chrohns, why aren't they doing something about it?
  14. I think that if you have been feeling bad all week, tortilla chips might not be the thing to eat?
  15. Maybe it wasn't 11 years ago when this question was asked? ?
  16. McDonalds is very strict about thier products. They would never allow someone to "throw a handful of flour" in with the fries. Consistency is very important to Mc Donalds. They send secret shoppers who write up a store if the pickles aren't on the patty correctly. Mc Donalds fries have been tested and come up gluten-free. The "hydrolyzed whet" is used...
  17. Have you talked to WF, local groceries , coffee shops and juice places about carrying your products? The WF and groceries here like to carry local brands - either fresh, refidgerated or frozen.
  18. Soy is gluten-free. The only foods we neeed to avoid are ones that contain wheat, rye or barley and non-certfied as gluten-free oats. Some oats contain wheat from the farming and harvesting process. Let me get you a link to the list. Be right back Start here -
  19. Were you diagnosed with Celiac? If so, maybe a follow- up blood test would help? You could see if your antibodies are going down. It might be that you have some other good issues, too? Like lactose intolerance or a FODMAPs issue or a physical problem. But, once you have eliminated all that, you will want to eat very simple, one ingredient foods...
  20. It is certainly possible that some of these issues are not related to Celiac or the GI tract. Did you have your Celiac antibodies tested? If they are normal, then maybe you should look for another cause to the other problems. How do you know you aren't getting enough magnesium? Maybe you should see a general practitioner and talk about your...
  21. Yes, Jello is gluten-free. But you are not feeling well and don't know why. Like I suggested before - cut out all these multi ingredient foods. there is no way to know what you are reacting to if you are eating 40 different ingredients in a day! Maybe its milk, maybe pumpkin, maybe carrageen in the milk, maybe a spice , ....that is just the pie
  22. I just used a can last night - the ingredients are something like - milk, vitamin & something to add color - maybe carrageenan?
  23. Just curious - with all the topics in the forum about wine - why is everyone posting on this woman's blog? Her posts are 10+ years old? Maybe you would like to take this discussion to the forum?
  24. I have used it. NO reason to think it isn't gluten-free.
