  1. Technically, at least on the US, you aren’t supposed to list ingredients as “gluten-free oats” or “gluten-free whatever “. some still do that. the website says Q. How can you guarantee that your products are gluten-free? A. We have a strict dedicated gluten-free facility that manufactures only gluten-free products. All the ingredients that ente...
  2. If the doctor actually thinks you have Celiac, they would tell you to continue to eat gluten until all testing is complete. The doctor would have you blood tested and it positive, would have you continue to eat gluten. Then they would do a biopsy. Let's get you on the path to an actual legitimate diagnosis before you try to be gluten free. ...
  3. There is no point now. You are an adult, you are now in charge of your health. If you choose to ignore medical advice, that's on you now.
  4. That's very sweet. You really might like the seltzers if you are drinking several over an afternoon.
  5. 2 weeks isn't usually enough time to eat gluten to have it show in large enough quantities in a blood test. The recommended amount of time, by Celiac doctors, is 12 weeks. "For a gluten challenge we recommend eating 1/2 slice of bread or a cracker each day for the duration of the challenge. Prior to blood testing we recommend 12 weeks...
  6. Bartles and James still says "malt" beverage on their website.
  7. Do they still makes those things? But seriously.... those were barley malt beverages. If you are going to drink these malt beverages, why not just drink your light beers that are too cheap to use much barley malt in them? I am only answering, because I hate for someone who really needs to be strictly gluten-free to see incorrect info. You...
  8. For a person with Celiac , yes, of course. We can not have barley. But you don't have Celiac, so some of these beers, with a tiny residual of gluten, might be OK.
  9. Of course there are various ciders, too. You might have to try a few to see what you like. They range from extra sweet apple juice to very dry and not very sweet
  10. Those may or may not be gluten-free. Celiacs need to be careful with " crafted to remove alcohol ". There are other sparking seltzers, like Truely, that never had gluten in the first place. Open Original Shared Link White claw is another Open Original Shared Link and this one Open Original Shared Link so many...
  11. It would be 5 years old and a lot of ingredients might have changed during that time. You might check with the company for an up to date list
  12. While this is NOT a gluten/Celiac issue, it happens to my son ( who is not Celiac or gluten sensitive). When he travels, he sleeps in a long sleeve t shirt, sweat pants, socks and either brings a pillow case from home or puts a t shirt over the pillow. Not every hotel or friends house have sheets that make him itch, but it is best to be prepared.
  13. gluten and antibodies are not stored in fat. Perhaps you are having issues with your Celiac disease because you aren't especially gluten free?
  14. Just feed her plain unprocessed foods. Cookies , pizza and chicken nuggets aren't that good for her. Try meats, fruits, veggies, etc. A dietitian might be helpful as you are also dealing with diabetes.
  15. Who diagnosed this? I would insist on a pediatric kidney specialist! What doctor is going to do this "kidney biopsy"? I think you need to ask more questions. If you can't do it with the child in the room, bring someone with you to take the child out. Write down questions. Maybe bring someone else who is more assertive than you seem to be to help you...
  16. I am in the US and use them often. I don't know anything about that site or where it gets its information or why it would even involve itself in telling Celiacs what foods that are labeled, tested and manufactured to be gluten-free are not gluten-free.
  17. There is a promising test being developed that does not require a Gluten challenge to diagnose Celiac. It could be a few years before it’s availablr in the US, I am not sure what approval level it is on currently.
  18. I had my kids tested. They were negative. One has been retested when he had some issues that could have been from Celiac. They were not from Celiac. If they were younger, I probably would have followed the recommended test every two years.
  19. I bought it not long ago and it says gluten-free on it. I can't imagine how it would contain gluten. I eat it with no issues. it a unlikely they would use malt vinegar. If they do, they would list malt vinegar. There is a legal definition of plain vinegar and it is NOT malt vinegar
  20. It says gluten-free. There is no reason to put glutened in quacamole. I eat it with no issues.
  21. I would ask the doctor why he or she considers that normal? There are reasons it might be Ok right now. But I am not a doctor nor do I know your child’s recent medical history
  22. You are responding to a post from 2005. The poster copied the list the company gave her at that time. If you want more up to date info on a product - go to the company and ask. If you would like, you could then come back and copy what you received for others to see.
  23. You do not seem to understand that a Celiac must avoid barley and rye as well as wheat. Brewer's yeast is on the list of foods to avoid because, usually, it contains barley. It is a by-product of beer making. There are so few gluten-free beers around that you should never assume this brewer's yeast came from a gluten-free beer. http://www.cureceliacdisease...
  24. http://glutenfreeda.com/product/original/ Maybe?I think they may have changed the packaging recently. I haven't had it but hope to find it
  25. Wow! There is so much I want to say to your mother..... but you are an adult now so it's your choice to take care of yourself. Please see a medical doctor and treat the Crohns! It is a very serious medical disease that can kill you! Gluten allergy isn't really a thing. You can have an allergy to wheat or you can have Celiac. But I think your most pressing...
