  1. I have to get going. Nice talking with you. Welcome to the club. Your info on the secret handshake and decoder ring will be coming soon. lol
  2. I liked the idea of the biopsy because I figured they would get a good look around. If there was any other issues, they would see them
  3. I guess that is sort of correct. - It can take a while for a Celiac body to make enough antibodies that they can make it from the small intestine to the blood in large enough quantities to register in a blood test. That is why the amount of time for a gluten challenge is longer for a blood test - for someone who has been gluten-free for a while. ...
  4. A person who does not have Celiac disease will not test positive for it on an antibody test - no matter how much gluten they eat! The blood test isn't testing for gluten in your blood, it is testing for the antibodies a Celiac makes in response to gluten. A non-Celiac can eat a 2 loaves of bread a day and it won't make those tests positive!
  5. You can't have a biopsy for Celiac disease because you have been eating gluten free for 2 years. The blood tests and biospy are only valid if you have been eating gluten. A person who has Celiac disease would heal the damage in 2 years - there would be nothing to see in a biopsy.
  6. I am laughing at the idea of a person "full of gluten". If you cut them, bread crumbs would fall out!
  7. The blood antibody tests were negative.
  8. I am not sure exactly what you are asking but I will try to answer. If you have Celiac, you would not eat anything that said it has gluten in it. If a product says it may contain gluten or wheat, then you don't eat it. If I said here, eat this soup, it may contain poison .... Would you eat it? I mean, there is a chance it doesn't have poison...
  9. Are these from 6 years ago? Or now? You say you are eating gluten free now. So a biopsy would not be positive if you had Celiac. Blood test taken now would not be valid, either.
  10. If you are eating gluten-free for 2 years, you would expect the blood work to be negative.
  11. HAve you been eating gluten free? http://www.cureceliacdisease.org/faq/what-is-a-gluten-challenge/ For a gluten challenge we recommend eating 1/2 slice of bread or a cracker each day for the duration of the challenge. Prior to blood testing we recommend 12 weeks of eating gluten. Prior to an endoscopic biopsy we recommend 2 weeks...
  12. I think you misunderstand the rules of the forum. When a poster comes on and makes claims that are not generally accepted facts, they are supposed to have reliable scientific evidence to support that. You can find in many high school science books as well a many reputable sites on the internet the chemical composition & a good explanation of an unfertilized...
  13. Scientists have know since I was in school ( a long long time ago) what eggs are made of. perhaps your confusion is the fact that eggs are considered a protein source, like meat? Anyway..... I am not going to argue this fact anymore. Eat the eggs or don't.
  14. You can give up eggs if you want , but the definition of meat is the flesh of animals. Eggs aren't animal " flesh". Nor are they dairy, as dairy is milk from a mammal ( usually a cow). as for giving you a " source", usually the person asserting something that isn't a a wisely accepted fact must give the source....... I am not asking for your reliable...
  15. If you like the shampoo, you can keep using it. Just be careful to not swallow it during shampooing. Many Celiacs use products like this with success.
  16. Eggs are neither dairy nor meat
  17. I know we are supposed to check for gluten, but I have never actually seen any that really has gluten in it. Lots of companies won't say it's gluten-free, but it is.
  18. That poster hasn't been on since august 2016. Not sure they will see your post
  19. I split this to its own topic. I couldn't tell by your first post if you had this going on for days, weeks or just a few hours. Sounds like some cc on that pizza.
  20. Sounds like you might have a bad stomach virus or something else. IF this goes on for more than a couple of days, you need to get to a doctor.
  21. So....it says they test at less than 20 per million? What I want to know is how do you know that number isn't 0? That doesn't mean the item has 19 ppm of gluten...or that's they add gluten until it reaches 19.
  22. Just curious- how do you know it had Gluten? And the measurements seem odd to me. In the US we measure Gluten in parts Per Millon (ppm)
  23. You have known you have celiac disease for " a long time" and just now decided to eat gluten-free? Well... that might be your problem right there.
  24. Often people are getting more fiber or less fiber or different kinds of fiber. Sometimes the types or amounts of fats, sugars, etc have changed. You might look at that. if you have Celiac, you are healing and it can take months to get the system regulated and working properly
  25. Try to get your info from reliable sources. That coffee myth is not true. http://www.cureceliacdisease.org/faq/whats-with-all-the-talk-about-certain-types-of-food-causing-cross-reactivity/ "There is not yet reliable data about cross-reactivity. As for the alleged possibility that many gluten-free foods or drinks (such as coffee, milk, orange...
