  1. Get a doctor and get the recommended follow up for Celiac! Stop playing with your health..
  2. Might be a way to leave a comment on the actual article? Greater chance the writer of this drivel would see it.
  3. It would be 3-7 days to find out your antibody results. That would tell you if it's even worth doing the Fasano diet. Maybe your issues are something besides gluten. i think for the Fasano diet, you do it it for several months and then retest your antibodies. I would have to look that up.
  4. SO...when you doctor retests your antibodies, they aren't coming down? Or there is some other food, ingredient or something like FODMAPS that might be your problem? The Fasano diet is usually for people who can't get their antibodies down on a conventional gluten-free diet.
  5. I'm not sure exactly what test this is. If it is just the one to see if he produces enough IGA for a Celiac test, then being high might mean nothing or be related to something else.
  6. I guess my point is that you seem to think it is gluten, but you are very careful & you don't know where it is coming from.....so maybe it isn't gluten this time.
  7. That's all possibilities except this person doesn't eat gluten! I hate to see them not seek help.
  8. I am not sure why you think these issues are due to gluten? You say you are eating gluten free? Maybe you should consider that you might have an additional issue besides Celiac? I would hate for you to dismiss a real problem that you might be able to get some help for.
  9. I go with science. And if something bothers you - like whiskey or potatoes or bananas - don't eat it. But that doesn't mean it has gluten!
  10. There are a lot of reasons for this - The main reason is that that would leave absolutely nothing to eat or drink! Nothing! Not even water! I have seen people swear they have a gluten reaction to water, bananas, oranges, etc. How do you know that this person you do not know is even telling the truth? How do you know it is a reaction to...
  11. I think you should see a GI doctor. It could be Celiac, colitis or Chrons or some of each.
  12. Don't muscles burn more calories? Maybe you are using more calories than before you started working out and gaining muscle?
  13. I wanted To I wanted to get that cleared up. We get many people & their MDs or other " medical practitioners" here that don't realize a " food allergy test" is not a Celiac test. I have also seen where people do not get an endoscopy past the stomach.
  14. I didn't have any of that not always accurate testing. You are taking that out of context.
  15. I think I need to clear up a few misconceptions here. celiac is it an allergy and will not show up on any sort of food allergy testing. Negative Celiac blood work is not common. It can happen, but it isn't not common. celiac damage does not show in the stomach - it is in the small intestine.
  16. Look up the Fasano diet for Celiacs with numbers that won't come down.
  17. And someone will take it literally and then will tell me that it might get in the the mouth! ?
  18. Please post your source for this information. A copy of the me email from the company confirming wheat in the tp. I can't imagine how wheat would make it softer. I fear this is just one of those stories that get spread around the internet. However, a Celiac can rub wheat gluten on themselves and it wouldn't give a Celiac reaction. Glutened must...
  19. People with autism have a high rate of Celiac. Your doctor is supposed to test him for Celiac. https://www.celiac.com/articles/24962/1/Celiac-Disease-Linked-to-Nearly-Every-Inflammatory-Disorder/Page1.html
  20. You are responding to someone from 2009. Hopefully they have gotten the test results back by now! ?
  21. https://www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls/ucm589823.htm?utm_campaign=Gel Spice Company%2C Inc. Issues Allergy Alert On Undeclared Soy And Wheat&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Eloqua "Gel Spice Company, Inc. is voluntarily recalling certain Spice Time and Spice Supreme Beef Flavored Bouillon Cube products (identified below) because they contain undeclared...
  22. Might want to put a picture of the Cheerios that are labelled gluten-free. This kind says "may contain wheat" on the GM website
  23. Two weeks is usually not long enough of a gluten challenge for a blood test. The antibodies are made in the small intestine and it can take a while for a body to make enough of them to show up in the blood stream in levels that can be detected with current testing. With the biopsy - Celiac damage is not consistent. What I mean is that the whole small...
  24. That is not normal for Celiac. She should see a doctor and consider that she might have something in addition to Celiac wrong.
  25. What ingredient makes you think it is not?
