  1. That sounds so good! But, I bet anyone would be a bit off after all that! ?
  2. Sounds like it is gluten-free. Sometimes my stomach is a little off but I can't assume it is always gluten. This time of year, in the US, we are over eating and eating rich foods we don't normally eat....
  3. For those reading along - MSG is gluten free.
  4. And heartburn in pregnancy is no secret. It's a well know problem that happens to most pregnant women at some point. Your friends' wives know why they have heartburn and some random guy explaining it to them is not going to be well received.
  5. I am going to be blunt - when guys comment on these topics that ask about pregnancy experiences or menstrual periods or menopause - ii find it pretty creepy and insulting. Unless you are an OB/ GYN.... but even then,we are talking about experiences....
  6. The "particles " won't jump off the bottom into your pan. If something is splattered on the ceiling of the oven, I guess it could fall on food tat is cooking. But that is sort of gross.... so hopefully your household cleans the oven occasionally & after big spatters.
  7. That poster has not been on the forum since 2012
  8. I am sure she has done lots of research. Now she wants actual experience from women. I don't think you have been pregnant? ?
  9. Wheat starch can be gluten-free. The amount in a cough drop is very very small.
  10. For someone like you who does not need to be gluten-free, I don't think gluten-free substitutes are any healthier than gluten. Sometimes, gluten-free is not as healthy, as they may have less fiber and nutritents and added sugar or fat or gums to make up for the lack of gluten.
  11. Celiacs can earn anything gluten free - so any type of egg, margarine or butter are fine, lechtins have nothing to do with gluten.
  12. Why wouldn't it be gluten-free? whiskey is gluten-free. Wine is gluten-free.
  13. There are people convinced they react to water.... Use some common sense and read labels. Most Celiacs don't post on here and most probably live their lives believing when a product says it is gluten-free that it is gluten-free. I have seen people convinced they are reacting to a gluten-free product but it turns out to be something else. Don't let...
  14. Just read the ingredients? Its very unlikely to have gluten in pickled stuff or cheese (except the beer cheese). Never seen a marshmallow with gluten (I like Kraft because I think they are better). I use McCormick for most spices & vanilla.. they are just spices. Never seen a vanilla with gluten. IN the US, wheat will be clearly announced...
  15. Those are all symptoms of Celiac. For some it is constipation and weigh gain. Its odd that way. Did the doctor offer any help or advice? You will need to go gluten free for life.
  16. I would be careful of airport versions of restaurants that are usually good for gluten-free food. I have found they are usually not the same or run the same. But you might find some gluten-free snacks. they might have pre-packaged gluten-free foods.
  17. I don't think it could be anything else with numbers that high!
  18. I think you are fine. You are wiping off anything that was left out before using.
  19. I just do a variety of gluten free foods. Many because someone doesn't like cheese on his potatoes or someone won't eat something else. I figure they won't starve if all they like is the turkey and the canned cranberry or the sweet potatoes and the apple sauce.
  20. Welcome to the club you never wanted to join! Your official secret decoder ring and info on the secret handshake will be sent soon! Lol
  21. The other test looks like the one to determine if the TTG IGA test will work on you. The simple explanation is - a few people don't make "IGAs" that show up in the blood test. In those people, they have to do a different test. This shows that you are able to make the "IGAs". A strongly positive TTG test, like yours, almost always means Celiac. If the...
  22. It means you likely have Celiac Disease. But your doctor should tell you that and refer you to a GI for further testing
  23. Sounds like you have a good doctor! http://www.cureceliacdisease.org/faq/do-your-liver-enzymes-return-to-normal-after-going-gluten-free/ "...Elevated liver enzymes are one of the extra-intestinal signs of celiac disease, so patients with elevated liver enzymes should be tested for it. .."
