  1. Are you saying that a doctor told you that your vitamins went and clogged your liver and so no water could flow to your head and that's causes dry eyes and dry mouth? I don't think it works that way? If you have Undiagnosed Celiac, or just dxed and starting the gluten-free diet, your intestines are damaged, you may not be able to absorb all...
  2. "Insufficient water went into my head"?
  3. You go all the way to chick fil a to buy a bun? If you are worried there is cc with the meat, why aren't you worried that there is cc with the different buns?
  4. Celiac messes with your ability to " absorb" the nutrients in your food. Nutrient/ vitamin deficiencies and cause lots of problems. As your small intestines heal, you should be able to use the nutrients in your food better.
  5. Yes. I can't even imagine gluten in a soda. Just read the ingredients. Or don't drink them. It's not like you will not get enough of the important cola or fizzy nutrients.
  6. If you ever want to spend the summer at the lake, I have a great concrete wall to mosaic! i am trying to make the fish with copper tubing for the outside, wire to make the guts. I have lots of stained glass and costume jewelry and other " stuff". This one is my experiment one using some old copper tubing that was left with the house. I may try to...
  7. That's great! Do you mind my asking about your art? I love art! Are you a painter? What do you like to make? i am not an artist....I am an art dabbler. I am starting a project to make a fish in the Calder style. Sort of like my profile pic. A bit frustrating but fun.
  8. So, are you an artist?
  9. Exactly! And if they are putting unlabeled wheat in coffee.......I hope it's a very large fine from the FDA. I would think the recall alone would make coffee drinkers not want the coffee ( even if they can have wheat). if I remember correctly....it's been a few years....someone tested some coffees and found some odd additives. But it was...
  10. First....let's use some common sense ... if you made glue with wheat....what happens to wheat when wet, especially hot and wet? It dissolves. Hmmmm...that would not work too well for tea! second , we have had tea manufacturers explain that modern tea bags are heat sealed. This does not involve glue. It basically melts the two pieces of "paper"into...
  11. I would ask the poster for sources....... but I don't feel like arguing that bloggers and pseudo doctors & " home economists" without even a home ec degree ....are not good sources.
  12. Oh....but I see all! i think what what is happening is I signed in and picked " anonymous". It doesn't really do much, you don't show up in the list of people logged onto the forum. Not sure that isn't really a benefit.... but it makes me feel like I have the power of invisibility......
  13. You got this new info from the company? Back in 2013, they said they used dedicated lines. Seems odd they would make other candy on the peanut butter cup lines. They make so many, I bet they don't have time to make any other candy there.
  14. OH! maybe I am anonymous!
  15. I f you look at me/my profile to see when I was last on - it says Dec 2016
  16. You might look on Facebook. that seems to be where most of that stuff is now
  17. Lots of ice creams and sorbets are safe. Read the ingredients. Obviously don't get things like cookie dough flavor.
  18. Never found any mainstream sodas with gluten.
  19. When I saw the recipe, I thought I might try it in my ice cream maker! Lol
  20. It doesn't matter if he understands Celiac disease or not - the standard of care for pregnant women is to do routine blood tests - one is to check for anemia. Many pregnant women are anemic - so they test for that. Then you will know if you need more iron or not
  21. There really aren't any "gluten allergy". Celiac is an autoimmune disease. You could get a blood test for Celiac if you are eating gluten.
  22. Go to your OB and they will test you and see if you need iron. Seems like most pregnant women need it.
  23. Thanks. That sounds great!
  24. Yummmmmmmm.......
