  1. I split this off of the topic about dominos, because we aren't talking about fast food vaguely gluten-free pizza!
  2. I think it can be.... depending on what you think a "regular" crust texture is like. I have made a very good sour dough one. It's just a pain keeping the starter going. You can make them more like bread- allow them to rise then pat thickly on a pan. Bake completely before topping. chebe makes an interesting crust mix -...
  3. What did e doctor say? Those say that you have Celiac. Did he refer you to a GI doctor? That should usually be the next step.
  4. Here is where I posted it originally - in the gab chat section not the research section.
  5. But this isn't about reading the article, it's about the fact that the article was fake/ joke. As if people believed it was a real article and he is myth busting. i think I did post the original on APRIL fools but, it's gotten so difficult to search this site on an iPad, I can't find it.
  6. I think I did. And it was an April Fools Joke. Not sure why he feels the need, many weeks later, to make a big deal about it?
  7. Seriously? Someone had to write an article explaining this joke? It was obviously an April Fools joke from a campus newspaper. Not even sure why it got picked up in the first place. I knew about it because my kid goes to K State...... but it wasn't national news. Maybe a better article would be to write one about the gluten-free food research they...
  8. There are a lot more options now than in 2006 when this thread was active. Chex makes many " flavors" that are safe and gluten-free.
  9. If you don't have Celiac, a little "cheating" might be Ok.
  10. It is pretty easy to get a blood test for Celiac. IF your doctor thinks he might have "gluten issues" why doesn't he start there?
  11. If you are currently eating gluten, I would ask for a Celiac blood panel. But I am finding your post a bit confusing. For example - colostomy is not a cure for excessive menstrual bleeding. I am wondering if you need to have a long talk with the doctor and get some explanations. Maybe bring a friend along to hear it, too?
  12. I can see their point that you don't have Celiac. And you probably don't. But something is going on and they need to find out what. They should do a colonoscopy and maybe an endoscopy to see what IS wrong with you. You might look at FODMAPS issues as those resolve gluten-free.
  13. Is it from the same lab? On the same scale? Assuming it is ....let's not panic. Antibodies can go up for a few weeks, at the start of gluten-free. So that might account for a small amount. You may need to get super strict about your gluten-free diet for a few months - no eating out, no eating what other make, no really processed foods...
  14. Do you know what an abrasion is? Maybe you need a better "translate to English" program?
  15. Huh? Not sure what you are trying to say . It's not making sense.
  16. Can you get it thru your local library?
  17. If you are going to have further testing - like the endoscopy, you need to continue eating gluten.
  18. There are some with some science behind them, but I don;t think those are the ones. So I understand where the doctor is coming from. I was reacting to you saying you knew you were eating some fries with gluten but was going to do it anyway.
  19. Even the ones that are being developed to help Celiacs are not meant for you to eat gluten on purpose and on a regular basis.
  20. Did anyone test you for Celiac during the time you were eating gluten? It would be a bit irresponsible for a doctor to say you have Celiac with no actual testing.
  21. Google - gluten free bakery and your city? That's usually the best way also, try googling " Find me gluten free Lexington, Ky"
  22. Go to your profile (by clicking your picture) . wait... be right back Had to go try it - go to top right of any screen & see your name. Click the little arrow next to it. Then account setting then notification settings. You can also choose to "follow" a discussion by clicking the "flower" in a circle next to the title. But you set how...
  23. Thats a big turn around for you, AC
  24. You have to consume gluten for a Celiac reaction. Hydrolized wheat should have little to no gluten left in it from what I have read. If it were me, I would probably use what I had left but not buy any more. I know its safe, but there is that word "wheat". I even gave away a piece of art that I had with a picture of wheat on it. lol
