  1. There are some good resources on the internet. https://www.heart.org/en/health-topics/cholesterol/prevention-and-treatment-of-high-cholesterol-hyperlipidemia/cooking-to-lower-cholesterol
  2. This may be a limited time public link. Gluten Free Watchdog tested many different brands of make at home coffees. All tested at less than 5 ppm. If you are not familiar with GFWD - she tests products in a very scientific manner. She sends them to actual labs and the samples are prepared correctly for testing. Usually, the results are available...
  3. Agree and well said.
  4. I only eat that if I am at a hotel. At home, I either eat Fage or Chibani or a local dairy that uses sucralose to sweeten. I love their lemon or vanilla
  5. Last night we had a grilled steak with some Brazi Bites ( Frozen Brazilian cheese bread) and some carrots and broccoli that I coated with a sweet and spicy sauce and roasted in the oven while the rolls cooked. Didn't take a picture because it wasn’t that pretty. ?
  6. Because this is a sudden rise in cholesterol, I would think the doctor will want to see if there are any other reasons for it and give the OP a chance to change up his diet a bit. It seems the original change in diet ( to gluten-free) or healing, May have triggered it. So adjusting the current diet, following good plans from a reputable site ( like American...
  7. What? What does this have to do with the topic of grapes? I don’t see where Cycles said anything about “chronic hives”. Please stay on topic
  8. I have never seen that one. Thanks for the heads up. I don’t really like Activia much myself
  9. I would guess there are crumbs on the cheese. Or did you eat anything else all day?
  10. Maybe you could ask to have a chance to change your diet? Retest in 6 months?
  11. You lose that fat feel that you get from fried foods, but they taste lovely. Less like grease and more like potato or chicken . Been meaning to try broccoli or something like that
  12. See kids? Sometimes Mom knows something! Lol ?
  13. A couple of nights ago I made this - https://www.ayearofslowcooking.com/2008/04/crockpot-baked-spinach-and-cheese.html?m=1 i added some of my homemade pesto and the flavor was great. It just dries out too much in my crockpot. I added some warmed jarred pasta sauce on the plate. Delicious. I might actually do this with Tikyada rice noodles ( not pre...
  14. Not really a discovery this week but - my air fryer. Love this thing. Makes the best French fries. I just use Ore Ida and no added oil. Or little red and purple potatoes with a light coating of olive oil. They come out so crispy and delicious. And way less fat and calories. I have done breaded cheese and chicken in it too! All really good.
  15. I saw something about this before. Now that you are absorbing food better, you are absorbing cholesterol better too. White rice flour doesn't really have any fiber. Maybe read about foods to lower cholesterol?
  16. Have you contacted them? I have heard that a lot of these resorts are doing a good job of gluten-free. If you have to eat at buffets, get a chef to show you what is actually gluten-free. They might get you some fresh from the kitchen . Or you might find there is no gluten . For example, you might find a nice salad bar and the only gluten is in croutons...
  17. On their US website they say gluten free
  18. I have been meaning to try them. I thought o could put them in the air fryer.
  19. Was it feel good foods? I know they make one. I have seen them but haven’t tried them
  20. I made turkey with a mango peach salsa in the crockpot! Served it over rice. So so yummy! I used about 2 pounds of “ turkey tenderloin” , fresh sweet onion and a jalapeño . https://www.ayearofslowcooking.com/2008/04/turkey-cutlets-in-mango-salsa-crockpot.html?m=1
  21. Tonight I made a chicken taco salad. I marinated some chicken in lime juice and part of a pack of chili seasoning. We then put it on salad with a few chips, cheese and salsa for salad dressing . Delicious
  22. PB - this wasn’t a post asking for “advise” or advice. And to pick 1 thing for the reasons why this guy has poor health is very short sighted. And making 2 long posts instead of 1 extra long post is still way too long. It doesn’t fool me.
  23. I would drink it. I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t be gluten-free?
  24. When you say she was “ cured” , what do you mean? People with Celiac must always eat gluten-free. If they stop, the symptoms and damage will return. Is she still alive today? Has she been gluten-free her whole life?
  25. If it’s lasted for 2 days, maybe it’s not the grapes? Maybe they were just the last thing you ate before you got sick with a stomach bug or something?
