  1. THe google function at the top right corner has a little thing like a cog next to it. Click that and you get lots of options to search. You can just search by a poster's name and maybe the word bread. Check the ' as posts". It's much easier that way.
  2. What if you freeze them on a tray, unwrapped. Then when they and the icing are frozen hard, package them?
  3. Sure. You can use those Asian noodles instead of rice. I do it occasionally - M and I prefer rice but hub and J prefer noodles. Last night, we were at the Residence Inn in Ft Collins, Co visiting J. We used the grill and made chicken tenders and wings with Gates BBQ sauce, potato chips, carrot & celery sticks, grapes and Halloween candy. Tonight...
  4. Was it the crockpot balsamic chicken? My mostly " adult" sons love that store! They have coffee and cookie samples. They love all odd little gadgets, especially any that aid in the opening or ingesting of carbonated, hop based beverages. It's also an easy place to get mom Xmas gifts as they have lots of red, the official color of gluten free cooking...
  5. Yeah! That crust does have a lot of ingredients so there is a lot of stuff to react to.
  6. Made this: http://abc.go.com/shows/the-chew/recipes/Chicken-Pad-Thai-Daphne-Oz Yummy. Subbed frozen peas for bean sprouts. Hub & Boy like peas better. Didn't put all the garnishes. Very peanut buttery. Some might like less peanut butter. Didn't notice the eggs so you could probably do without - maybe a little extra chicken. Funny thing...
  7. We got the sea salt caramel! Fabulous! We had lasagna and pumpkin pie
  8. Chipolte cheese dip with chips, celery and grapes.
  9. I copied recipes out of different recipe books so I can find them. And any other recipes and put them in sheet protectors in 3 ring binders. You can get them out and wipe them clean if you slop on them.
  10. I don't really like the tomato and mac and cheese thing - right or wrong. I haven't seen my current "MIL" in about 5 years. Hub has seen her two or thee times so we know she is still around.
  11. The soup my hub wants when he is sick - Noodles cooked in chicken broth. Youngest son likes some rice in chicken broth. Sometimes I will sneak a few shredded carrots in while the rice or noodles are cooking. There are 2 things my dad can cook and wants to cook for himself - One involves hot dogs and thinly sliced potatoes in a casserole...
  12. I have posted the Cowboy Steak soup recipe. I thought it might be nice to make a place we could post soup and chili recipes. Newbies might like it too. I put the brand name of the things I used that might have gluten - like broth. Thought that might make it easier. I made my recipe with a bit more description that I might usually give. I know we get...
  13. Haven't seen this yet! Will look when I can get kid off the PC! So probably sometime tomorrow morning before 10. Not always as good on the iPad.
  14. " White" chili - actually it's more beige with yellow and red flecks ( corn and red pepper)
  15. I don't know anything about those tests but they are not tests for Celiac disease. http://www.cureceliacdisease.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/CDCFactSheets3_Antibody.pdf http://www.cureceliacdisease.org/archives/faq/can-the-elisa-igg-food-panel-detect-gluten-sensitivity
  16. Look! I can post pictures now! Notice I couldn't wait to get a pic before I bit that pumpkin cupcake. I think we should all get a photobucket account and post pics of our food here! I love me some Food Porn!
  17. Do you want the recipe? its really quick and tasty. But I don't remember what people can and can't eat - it has salsa and potatoes in it.

    Day One

Maybe you don't need so much? "What is a gluten challenge? A gluten challenge is the period of time when gluten is added back into a person’s diet to assist in the diagnosis of celiac disease. Antibodies take time to build into the blood stream before they can be detected through blood analysis. For a gluten challenge we recommend eating 1/2 slice of bread o...
  19. You know, this is the " blog" section. You might get more answers and earn more over on the Forum. Read about Dermatitis herpetiformis.
  20. Cowboy steak and veggie soup
  21. I thought maybe ladybug stew! Edited to fix an odd typo
  22. Monday night - Crockpot beef stew Tue - Chicken noodles/ almost soup - I make a chicken soup base - broth, chicken, garlic, carrots and peas. Then added Schar noodles to bowls and the "soup" to the bowls. My hub and son don't like a lot of broth so they got extra noodles. I made brown rice and added it to the rest of the "soup". We now have chicken...
  23. My SIL has an allergy? Intolerance? to eggs. For a long time she could eat them in a baked good but not scrambled eggs or quiches, etc. she said that in a cake 3 eggs is spread over 10 servings. In a quiche, 3 eggs is 1 serving. Basically. I think what she meant was she could have a little once in a while. Unfortunately, now, she doesn't like to have...
  24. Once again - There currently is no scientific proof for cross-reactivity in Celiac disease. http://www.cureceliacdisease.org/archives/faq/whats-with-all-the-talk-about-certain-types-of-food-causing-cross-reactivity "There is not yet reliable data about cross-reactivity. As for the alleged possibility that many gluten-free foods or drinks (such as...
