  1. In the bay area you should be able to find support groups, lots of "health conscious places" to post. If you live anywhere near a university, maybe you could put something on their internet roommate board. I have heard Sac has some gluten-free resources. Tahoe is health conscious, so you might be able to find someone eating gluten-free, Celiac or not....
  2. Do you have local Celiac or GIG support group? Maybe you could look for roommates there?
  3. I thought you had enough on your hands, chasing that turkey around town!
  4. I guess this is technically about my lunch... but you can't kick me off for it! I had a cold quinoa salad I picked up yesterday at this cute gluten-free tea/juicing café. It was a Mexican style? corn, black beans, tomatoes, pepper, etc. And I LOVED it ! I thought I didn't like quinoa but I was going to give it another shot. Now I just have to ...
  5. Chicken pot pie with a Bisquick top
  6. Because its "autolyzed yeast extract" it is so overprocessed, it doesn't have any gluten left. I make crockpot stew but I don't use this mix or any flour. I add onions and bay leaves for the seasoning. I use instant tapioca. Crockpot Beef Stew 2 lbs beef stew meat, cubed 5 carrots sliced thinly 1 onion, diced 3 ribs of celery, diced 5 potatoes...
  7. I'll see your lazy and raise you 5 lazys. We had French bread pizza, carrot sticks ( pre- cut) and apple slices!
  8. That is a website that sells trampolines. I wouldn't take medical advice from them.
  9. I just throw the noodles in at the end and let them cook. We don't mind that the noodles soak up all the broth in the left-overs. But my son and hub don't really like a lot of broth. Some noodles seem to hold up better, so try different brands and ingredients - corn pasta seems sturdier but might not taste great in chicken noodle. Friday night ...
  10. Bring something you can eat with these friends. Especially if you are at places like Taco Bell, its easy to whip out your own lunch at a back table or food court at the mall. If you are ever served a steak with the bread on it, you must be certain they don't just give you the same steak back. Slice it in half. If its a salad with croutons - put a sugar...
  11. http://www.tacobell.com/nutrition/allergens But they do say wheat in the ingredients! "Suggestions for Wheat and Gluten Sensitive Individuals: Express Taco Salad (order Chicken instead of Beef) Tostada without Red Sauce Fiesta Taco Salad (order Chicken instead of Beef; order without the shell and without the Red Strips)"
  12. You are parking on the driveway or parking lot? For 4 months? You could just put foil over the top. Or transfer it to a casserole?
  13. You know you are supposed to empty those PODs don't you? Or put them in storage?
  14. This isn't a super creamy, cream laden dish but it makes a nice 1 pot meal. I think you could use more spinach if you wanted. I think I have changed enough about this recipe to make it mine - changed & added some ingredients. Changed a few other parts as well as the measurements. Oven Chicken Risotto Olive oil 1 medium onion - finely chopped...
  15. Let me get it. It was originally on here but Patti and I modified it a bunch to make it a one pot meal. And translate it into American.
  16. We have had several threads over the years about Taco Bell. First - never go by any info more than a year or two old. Second - read the whole dern thread! You will see that we had at least one thread, that I remember, from a troll trying to tell us she eats and works at Taco Bell and its OK. There are probably 10 other posts saying "NO". I think we...
  17. I can give you the recipe if you want. I didn't do it, Mom! IH did!
  18. I think we have some cross -over going here between threads. But I'm going to take the time to say it again here for the sake of future readers. Jus because some random person on the internet says Taco Bell or Wonder Bread are OK, you must use some common sense. Checking the place's own website or asking for the list they have in the Taco Bell of allergens...
  19. We had oven chicken& spinach risotto. Always a big hit with my guys!
  20. "Tacos" require a fried shell. They should be corn. "real" Mexicans I know, put the filling on the corn tortilla and cook it in a skillet with some oil. He had enough groupies around him. He may have thought I was a stalker because I kept trying to get a nice pic of him for IH~!
  21. Crockpot Buffalo Chicken lasagna and a little salad.
  22. Put the chocolate shell on them. They stay soft in the middle in the fridge and that hard outside and soft inside.......
  23. http://abc.go.com/shows/the-chew/recipes/Surprising-Cream-Cheese-Truffles-Clinton-Kelly I made them all with the Pb so I doubled the Pb. I made them with the melon baller but I let the bottom be flat so they don't roll around. Next time I would make the balls and put them on a tray and freeze before adding the melted chocolate. They are soft at fridge...
  24. Everything turned out delicious!
