  1. I think the fact that I actually understood that and filled in the blanks means I have spent too much time in this robot building family!
  2. Have you discovered San-J soy sauces? They are gluten-free and they have Teyaki and spicy peanut. You can find them at lots of places like Target and groceries. Don't know if you have a PF Chang's or a Pei Wei where you live? They are the same company and do a really goo job with gluten-free. Pei Wei is a bit limited but I love the Spicy Shrimp.
  3. Very cool! Did it come that way or did the Pirate recycle an engine from somewhere else. You have a lot of hills there, don't you? That motor will come in handy
  4. Looks like we are having: Corn bread crust Mexican chicken pizza, jalapeños stuffed with green onions, cream cheese and apple and wrapped in bacon, cantelope and chocolate PB cream cheese candy balls.
  5. Experimental Dinner tonight. Unfortunately, I can't choose which new thing to make!
  6. Too much fancy smancy food! Here's what " real" people who have no idea what a cacitore or a braise or a spring onion is cooks ! ( another grammatically terrifying sentence) Bisquick cheeseburger pie, green salad and some cantelope! http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/gluten-free-impossibly-easy-cheeseburger-pie/d85099e2-c64c-4328-9206-a8ffc...
  7. So I made " Oopsies" . They are a bit bland with a fallen soufflé texture. I put salted sunflower seeds on a few and that was pretty good. We thought we might make them bite sized with a sprinkle of cooked bacon on top and maybe, when almost cooked, add a sprinkle of a sharp cheddar. They have a very fun texture so I could see putting some flavorful ...
  8. About 100F today. Not sure if these " oopsies" are good. Haven't tried them. Let me see if I can copy the recipe. Be right back The recipe I have is this one but without sweetener http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=259930
  9. Too stinking hot to cook, inside or out so - Cheese and fruit and crackers. Might turn the oven on long enough to try a recipe for a cheese bread thing called " oopsies".
  10. To rephrase this: Kraft has an excellent ingredient labeling policy. They label all gluten ingredients clearly as in no odd names . There ingredients will say malt ( barley). Or some other clear and easy to read and understand text.
  11. I think sweet potatoes are Ok with diabetes? Not the same I start carb hit as white potatoes? Vodka and mango....maybe not so much
  12. The 6 minute boil? I got that from The .Rachael Ray Show! !
  13. It didn't bother you....but was it yummy?
  14. Actually-1 . and some left-over meat. probably only need about 3/4 lb of burger. They were really good. They need the egg wash as it gives them a nice crisp crust.
  15. http://recipes.chebe.com/recipe/not-so-sloppy-joes-gluten-free Used half ketchup and half tomato based BBQ sauce. Yum!
  16. It ain't cheap but looky here: http://www.amazon.com/Sheltons-Poultry-Range-Ground-Turkey/dp/B00CHTWA0A/ref=sr_1_23?s=grocery&ie=UTF8&qid=1377741541&sr=1-23&keywords=Shelton%27s
  17. A Starbucks employee probably wouldn't know about a packaged product they sell. So I would go with the ingredients on the bottle and wheatgrass says no to me. I realize the grass part doesn't have gluten but it seems too likely to me that there could be a few seeds (containing gluten) in there. I just looked at the website. I looked at a few and...
  18. It said 4 on high. I think 4 on low would have been better. Or 2 on high. Without the bones, they don't take long to cook.
  19. I got steak for dinner Sunday night. they didn't look very big in the meat counter, so I got 3. They were huge! WE are having the leftover on steak salad tonight! Yum! Or Hub might use the left-over chicken. It already tastes a bit like salad dressing so he wants it on a salad.
  20. My mom had CHF ( congestive heart failure, etc) and retained fluid easily. I needed low sodium for food I fixed for her. That's how I noticed that some chicken says about 40 mg sodium per serving ( the naturally occurring amount) and others said 110 for the same serving size. I wonder if you couldn't find a local farmer who sells meat. Or a smokehouse...
  21. Was posted on Facebook. I'm assuming that is the one Bunny's mom used. I found with my crockpot, I would cook it on low not high. Crock Pot Balsamic Chicken Ingredients 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon dried basil 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper 2 teaspoons dried minced onion 4 garlic cloves, minced 1 tablespoon extra...
  22. I made that tonight! With some Lundberg rice mix and green beans.
  23. You will get more answers if you posted this in the forum. Maybe the parents section or post diagnosis section? This section is for blogs which usually don't get a lot of responses.
  24. Grill those Jennie O people! :0. Seriously, post what they say. I would be curious. I have heard they sometimes add raw turkey juice or chicken for chicken. I don't quite understand where this " juice" comes from. Maybe when they grind it the juice comes out and they mix it back in?
  25. Have you tried to contact Jennie o and see what the natural flavoring is? The butcher at my store said that the whole turkeys they have ( not Jennie O but it may be true for them, too). Are injected with water and salt. It's hard to find any without that extra salt which was my issue with them. I know some on here grow their own chicken and turkeys. ...
