  1. Pizza (homemade, of course)
  2. I did without for soooooo long!!!
  3. Tonight I fixed Curried Coconut Chicken (from the latest issue of Taste of Home), rice and fresh green beans. I've been in such a rut and just needed to try something new.
  4. They were good! I also made a pan of Pamela's brownies. Came home with just one lemon bar and half a pan of brownies. I was the only one gluten-free so if my gluten-eating friends like them, that says something. I think next time I'll use the same amount of crust in a 9x13" pan for a thinner crust and double the lemon filling.
  5. I made pizza (yeah, again). It's been a few weeks, I think. And I made lemon bars for tomorrow...but I'll have a taste of them tonight.
  6. I love those clean-out-the-fridge meals! Tonight I'm going to make a clean-out-the-fridge stir-fry. Since I'm thinking about it before 8 a.m., it will happen.
  7. Gasp! I've failed the gourmet test. Sometimes dinner is an absolute miracle!!! Now when my kids were little or when my granddaughter is here, breakfast, lunch and dinner are eaten at a table.
  8. I'm hopeless! That's what happens when you live alone...who needs a table? I put shredded cheddar cheese on it...does that count? And the chili is homemade! I'll try not to spill it on my keyboard.
  9. I'm eating there now. Sheesh, I should have added some tortilla chips!!!
  10. I pulled a single serving of chili out of my freezer for dinner. So does that mean I took a trip to Mexico?
  11. Heck, I don't want to just come for dinner...I want to live with her!!! ETA: I should add that I threw chicken in the oven, a baked potato and spinach.
  12. Pancakes and sausage...being lazy tonight.
  13. Pizza...it's been awhile since I made it. Hot here, too, but cool in the house with the A/C on.
  14. Syl, just want you to know what an absolute gift you are to us newbies! I always imagine you as our "mama bear", with virtual hugs, a glass of warm almond milk and gluten-free cookies, and sound, sensible advice. Thank you soooo much for all you give to this community!

  15. I was totally lazy. Two rice cakes with peanut butter.
  16. I just took some really yummy-looking hamburger buns out of the oven (Jules Shepard's recipe with slight variations by me) but since I didn't start them until 5:30 or so, I think I'll just make a sandwich...not a burger. And a glass of wine.
  17. A bowl of creamy potato soup (made when my granddaughter was here for a few days). I made banana bread today so will definitely taste it later this evening and maybe also have some watermelon.
  18. I bought OreIda fries...the package is marked gluten-free but it's really hidden way down on the side (like almost at the bottom). Nothing like announcing it clearly, huh? I've bought them at Wal-Mart before but yesterday I got them at Food Lion. The brat patties were just okay...at least fast and easy to fix. I prefer their Italian sausages though...
  19. We are certainly an ambitious bunch tonight!!! :D
  20. Brat pattie (Johnsonville) and sweet potato fries. I don't feel like cooking either.
  21. Leftover shrimp stir-fry and rice. Sure beats cooking!!!
  22. That sounds almost like Jimmy D's Sausage Skillets, which I love. Basic difference is that scrambled eggs are added to the Jimmy D's after the rest has been fried up. YUM!
  23. All leftovers...chicken, green beans and yellow squash. Blueberries later. Now this is my idea of fast food.
