There is a wonderful book called Practical Paleo with lots of wonderful recipes and don't use beans, rice or any other grains. All using whole foods, nothing processed. It's my new BFF !
My first question would be ~ How many celiacs have you counseled. You said she specializes so you may be ahead of the ball game there. My experience was being handed a stack of papers from the internet.
Wheat is wheat is wheat. period. And even if you don't suffer symptoms of gluten your gut is suffering. Would you peel a scab off of a sore? Eating gluten is like peeling the scab off of your healing gut
I have seen so many posts lately dealing with severe chronic constipaion. I have suffered from it all my life and thought I was the only one who went gluten-free only to find the constipation became worse! I too have tried everything..tones of water, fresh fruit, veggies, nuts, beans, oils, etc, etc. Nothing worked. It got so bad that at one point 3 ducolax...
I read (sorry i don't remember where) that Chuck e Cheese is coming out with a gluten-free pizza that will arrive at their restaurant sealed, to be cooked sealed and delivered to the table sealed with a sealed cutter. The only things that moves me now (no pun intended!)is a tea called Smooth Move that is, of course, gluten...
Lol I agree. My blood work would be "to the moon and back" as we have at least a glass every day & go wine tasting once a week. I always figured that I would handle the food limitations of gluten-free as long as i had my wine!
vinegar is a good cleaner. dilute 50/50 with water. I use it on my wood floors, counters, almost everything. The odor dissipates quite quickly. Simple Green is also a good all purpose cleaner - gluten free.
That's good to know. I just had a concern about the broth the chicken is dipped in and couldn't get a good answer on it. They are so convenient & easy to find especially while traveling so I may push for an answer.
Great Value is the Walmart brand & they are dipped in broth. I had been buying it till a friend pointed it out (thank goodness for good friends!). I wrote to Walmart & they would not give a straight forward yes or no answer so I quit buying it and now just stick with fresh and freeze it myself.
