  1. End of this month. I thought of Ambrosia but I'm not sure how to make it dairy and soy free. We often do just mix up canned fruit with fresh or frozen though and make fruit salad. I also have frozen strawberries and frozen blueberries to eat down. hmmm...maybe I'll just skip the chicken tonight and make mixed berry pancakes...Then again I need at least...
  2. Something with chicken and potatoes....I haven't decided yet! I'm trying to clean out my cupboards and cabinets for a move so we will also have some canned pineapple or canned manderine oranges. I also need to cook some dried pinto beans but we just had red beans and rice last night so I'm trying to space out my beans...
  3. Have you used this seasoning blend on other foods without any symptoms? Also were the ribs cooked on a grill formerly used for gluten foods?
  4. Well I didn't want to cook and I needed to get out of the house. So hubby and I had a date night. We packed a little picnic lunch of sandwiches on Rudi's and some salad and went to the beach. Picked up some chips and salsa on the way there because hubby was really hungry.
  5. I can't eat pork. My stomach hurts until I throw it back up. If I don't throw it up I have days of agony. The last couple times I ate it my throat felt like it was closing too so I stopped eating all pork (dr said it could be the start of a more serious allergy instea dof just intolerance). That said, you could have eaten something with gluten if it was...
  6. I have no clue what to make tonight! Really don't want to cook at all.
  7. We had Swiss steak (made in the slow cooker) with mashed potatoes and green beans with almonds.
  8. Well, nothing has NO risk but I can't really think how the plain kernals would be contaminated. I guess I really meant that the risk of cc would be greater on my end if I made them in a shared kitchen or an old pot or something.
  9. Cool Climates, I don't know about Orville microwave popcorn, but I use their whole kernals to make popcorn on the stove top quite frequently. It's easy, no risk of cc, and I don't have any symptoms from it.
  10. Me too! I never make it exactly the same twice though. The only ingredients that stay the same for me is peanut butter, tomatoes and chicken. ANd most of my spices are the same I guess (tumeric, cumin, chili powder, red pepper flakes, cininimon, pepper, and kosher salt). But I love to mix it up and do different veggies. Today I'm just throwing a bunch...
  11. I'm starting a pot of African ground nut stew.
  12. I'm up late cooking rotisserie chicken for my husband to take to work tommorrow. I had a killer headache earlier today and took a LONG afternoon nap from 3-8. Oops. Now I can't sleep. My husband didn't cook dinner while I slept-- he just sort of grazed on snacks for dinner. So I don't have any leftovers to send. He will eat out sometimes when that happens...
  13. I actually have never made it. I have had some at my SIL's house and liked it though. Here's the recipe I was going to try: http://reciperenovator.com/special-diets/vegan/healthy-recipes-gluten-free-cucumber-avocado-soup/ I ended up just making the spring rolls and they were plenty to eat. Do you have an Asian or international food store? That's where...
  14. Chicken Spring rolls. maybe some Avocado soup if I can get myself to the store. It's another sweltering hot day here in the South!
  15. My mom did too! I never really liked it much as a kid but I had a craving and just happened to have the rice macaroni and canned tomatoes.
  16. Tonight I'm planning on chicken burgers and sweet potato fries.
  17. We had rice macaroni and tomatoes.
  18. I've got a corned beef brisket in the slow coooker with red onions, red potatoes, baby carrots, celery and garlic cloves. It's already smelling good. I'll toss some shredded cabbage in the last few hours of cooking.
  19. Lemon pepper Chicken, Mixed green salad and fruit salad.
  20. Idodized salt can irritate DH if you have it. I cut it out because of that but then had to add it back in once my skin rash healed to keep my thyroid healthy. I still mostly use Sea salt and Kosher salt.
  21. We had Chicken fried steak, mashed poatoes and spinach. All smothered in gravy. Good ole Southern Comfort Food.
  22. Turkey burgers and sweet potato fries.
  23. chicken salad sandwiches and yellow split pea dahl. I know it doesn't go together, oh well.
  24. We ended up picking up a rotisserie turkey breast from BJ's to go with the leftover vegetable risotto from lunch.
