I am surprised it did not throw off the ratio of wet to dry ingredients and collapse them, so Good job! See, you can cook! And seriously, time to step away from the muffins, babes. ...
  7. Last night Mom and I went to an Agatha Christie dinner theatre. I called the caterer in advance re the meal. It was all ironed out but I am sure the buffet meal got switched with cattle class airplane food. You cannot fathom how tasteless it was! And people at our table were actually ENJOYING it! They had to be lying. The woman next to me turned to me...
  8. You must have gelato in Italy. It is worth the plane tickets and I am not kidding. My favourites are grapefruit, limone, pistachio (in Sicily) - anything with nuts and/or fruit. My husband always has something with chocolate. Swooningating!

  18. Have you tried cornmeal? I find glass not to be the best for pizza. Do you happen to have something that can withstand high heat which is best for pizza such as a pizza stone or aluminum or even a cast iron pan?

  20. Thai beef stir-fried noodles (excellent lemongrass et. al. marinade), delicious sauce, etc. And about 30 ingredients so it is my kind of cooking. Scallion pancakes with dipping sauce will go rather nicely. Trying to use up stuff from the fridge. Unrelated to dinner, am making a batch of spicy garlic chili sauce to keep on hand and also a big pot of ...
  21. Happy to hear it. Sleep is truly miraculous. I do not sleep well myself so when I do my days are brighter. :-)
  22. Yes, vanilla extract would be fine. If you want, you can drizzle in agave syrup instead of maple. The only limit is your imagination! Orange juice and zest is lovely, too. Heck - whip in some pumpkin puree with a bit of cinnamon. You can also infuse honeys with flavour. Salted butter may be a touch salty BUT in this case, a bit of salt would be nice...
  23. Sounds yum! Are you feeling better today?
