Here is their food allergen list:

Bear in mind that I don't think they take into account cross contamination at their restaurants..
I just avoid them completely.
I'm with you. Thanx for the link!

I use glass baking dishes, and everything even bowls.
Stainless pots & pans and everything else. nOthing plastic...
But question the dishwasher does it really getting everything?
When daddyO is here in the winter time and he's got crumbs and unsafe food particles everywhere I wonder, then when I see them them again at the bottom of the dishwasher I really wonder about CC.

floridanative -- You are right-on tell them about the clients they are loosing. The more each one of us write and request this information the more they will see the market they are loosing. I got the same sort of email from Revlon, L'oreal> And Maybelline told me to get a magnify glass and International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary and look for myself. I'm going to post some of these companies replies on by blogg soon.
No I know why people are sick, I mean we absorb through our skin what we put on it.
I'm having a hard time finding a liquid foundation that is safe. Everything I have is gluten or soy. And powder doesn't do it...

Almost 6-years-ago I got sick with celiac disease, and no one prepared me for this! I believed I was dying. I faced down the ugly reality of a major life change and went gluten-free & DF. I substituted dairy with soy. I thought I was getting better. It was an easy cake walk; really it was, compared to the journey I would take with secondary food sensitivities that became intolerances and then turned into allergies. I have kept a detailed journal of everything in-and-out of my body. And in my profile are my food/health issues.
I learned about this disease the hard way, and rediscover more eye openers every passing day. Thanx to many of my celiac family here. But [no one prepared me] for these other problems with secondary food sensitive, intolerances and allergies. When it began I was watching the progression but couldn’t understand, why? I didn’t cheat. Not until I read several of the 'new' celiac disease books published in the last 2-years where the authors write about it, and why. It seems this is part of it of some/many of us too?
From what I read diet rotation is helpful from developing more? Also don’t keep eating the same food over and over every day. Not good. It’s important to mix and try new things together.
Please share some of your experiences.
How long was the progression? Years?
What are your ‘other’ food issues?
What are your doctors telling you?
Or what you have found is working for you?
Be well!

I'm going through the same thing.
I have found they have corn in them or the dyes are cross contaminated with gluten. Or at leas the ones I have tried. You might call the companies that make ARMOR THYROID or another called NATURE THYOID. One is from pork, and the other one had corn, if my memory is right. Compounding RX is the only way to go ....and this week end I found-out the-hard-way the only type of thyroid hormone they are ALL able to get to make us in LEVOTHYROXINE T4. I called one guy in Boston, another in Florida and yet another in California and they all told me the same thing -- that is the drug they use to make thyoid medication.

I have dinner for breakfast. It helped me [keep] weight on. The chiropractor (the only doc I trust with degrees in nutrition) has me eating my largest meal in the a.m. and I eat at least 3 times a day and snack in between.
I'm a celiac that has secondary food allergies...
I have baked chicken, carrots and zuccini. Then a piece of fruit.
Or a burger (big man size) with cucumbers, asparagus, and carrot juice.

.... I'm mourning the loss of a six year relationship and it's kicking my ass...
I know what it's like celiac disease creates issues for everyone. Try not to internalize it - it will make you sick(er). My heart goes out to you. You have a good out-look and a positive plan, that's important.

Have an anonymous person send an eMail (or letter) to the studio?
We have writers in our group here that would write to the studio...

wait, what? soy is bad for us? i was just wondering where you are getting your information from. i have never experienced any symptoms from soy. secondary intolerences or allergies don't necessarily have to develop.

If you would like to read the book "dangerous grains" or the "paleo diet" it is clear SOY is bad. And yes, they both write many of us celiacs develop secondary food intolerces and allergeies. There is plenty of pro-and-con about it, some people are in denial (I understand why). You can search this site for plenty of thread on this subject.

RE: Name calling - I am a Glutenfree extremist and proud of it! I'll turn over every stone to find it and not rest until I know one way or the other.
As most of you know, my husband has celiac, I do not; but I take great lengths to purchase everything gluten free.
The NIH declared that the rate of celiac is 1 in 133; but food and cosmetic manufacturers should not rely on this rate as it's more than 1 in 133 when it comes to purchasing the products. For instance, there are families that are 100% gluten-free for every family member, so let's say that there's 4 people in that family, but not all are celiac - that means that not just the celiac is consuming gluten-free, but all 4. I would suppose that in many families where there's just one or two celiacs, the food shopper in the family (want to avoid saying "the mother") is buying gluten free as much as possible. For instance, if the store has two different brands of shampoo and the "mother/shopper" knows brand B is gluten-free, the "mother/shopper" will buy the large size of the brand B. Everyone in the household will use the brand B item. So this is where we have power in numbers. I don't think the manufacturers understand this. The manufacturers are going by the 1 in 133 rate, not realizing it's higher than that in the actual buying process. 1 in 133 is the rate of who NEEDS to be gluten-free; but it could be 4 in 133 who live gluten-free.
Also, I am concerned about gluten-free cosmetics because I don't want to transfer gluten to my husband if he does things like kiss my face or grab my hand, etc. So again, more than 1 in 133 live gluten-free for many reasons.
Thank you debmidge! I always learn a lot from you.
I think thats what I'm going to start calling myself too a "Glutenfree extremist" and proud of it!
Thank you ladies for creating this thread. I want to keep this alive...
Today I'm looking for a safe liquid foundation to wear. Any ideas? I need to throw out what I have and start new.

Any NEW news on this?

A good friend of mine has a child who has had seizure his whole life. He's not 3.5 and also has some developmental delays. I don't know all the details, but I know they have been searching for answers for so long and praying so hard for him to be cured. It's been a tough road for them. I've seen a lot of you post about seizures as a symptom. I'm looking for some info to share with my friend that could help her in researching celiac as a possibility. Thankfully, our family hasn't had to deal with this as a symptom, so my knowledge is limited. Thanks in advance for your replies!
I am also a celiac that suffers from seizure.
What are the seizure like? (I was unable to read one of the posts the words ran off the page. Sorry.)
How is your friend baby since your posting?

Thanks for the info. Stephanie. I did read your past posts on this topic. It is just such a strange thing to have. I'm afraid that my doctor will think I am crazy if I mention it. I wonder how common this is and if there is any current research being done on it.
It is very common -- Has anyone here read "DANGEROUS GRAINS" ??? You must read it. The author goes ito these secondary food intolerance/allergies. He says we all will end up with them, it seems its a matter of time. We must rotate the good foods so we don't have the same things happen to them.
The poison control center person I talked with said it is a toxic reaction - then he said he had a hard time believing that anyone could get sick from a potato. He said the skin of a green potato or the eyes is the worst, also leaves from the plant and green tomatoes. That surprised me because many people eat fried green potatoes.I called poision control on another issue (celiac disease) a few months back and they don't have a clue. As many are, answering the phone to collect a pay check and is careless of what we are experience. I was fearful when I called they might have 'out sourced' and I would end up speaking to someone in INDIA. But the person spoke english but was clueless about celiac disease. It really made me think, who really cares?

Open Original Shared Link It is about celiac disease and Sprue (as they called it) in the historical news, as you scroll down the lists Bucks County Courier Times (Levittown, Pennsylvania) is one of the newspapers that have writen about celiac disease.
My notes show the article I found in the archives was written in 1972 I will post in on my blog soon.

I, of course, am gluten free for almost 5 yrs, 2 yrs ago I found I was soy intolerant, then that December I found I am corn intolerant, last summer I found I couldnt have tomato in any form or potato, and as of late, I find I can't tolerate starches. Now the soy lecithin doesnt bother me and I cant use margarine, but am thinking I may get away from it too. Soy and corn always constipate me, which sometimes I feel is worse then diarrhea. I do not eat any red meats any more and am getting really bored with chicken. Deb
darlindeb -- You sound like me.
Not to get off topic, but did you read "dangerouse grains' the book? It talks about how many celiacs end up with secondary food intolerance/allergies over time. I wish we all knew that in the begining. And I know just want you mean darlindeb, but the book said we must rotate our diet and not eat the same things all the time. Its hard. Our body builds up a tolerance or something like that to those foods we always eat. I know what you are going through... Be well!
