About Me
I have been living gluten free for two years now. At first it was one of the hardest things I have ever had to tackle. Today is much better, I find I really don't crave things they way I used to. I had very abnormal symptoms that now looking back on had been a problem my entire adult life. I gained over 150 pounds, had bowel movements only about every 7-10 days, had very bad brain fog, arthritis and depression, then on 21 JAN 01 started having an unusual rash originally thought to be stress and triggered by a trauma. It starts as a small bump and will grow and grow till it resembles a ring worm yet continues to grow, no treatments were affective. They would form shapes, a butterfly, a smiley and once a heart. This rash was primarily on my back and shoulders but was asymmetric in that it would stay on the left side for a while then clear and reappear on the other side. I had this for years and many many biopsies in hopes of finding a cure. NO TEST showed anything and I wasn't presenting typical symptoms of gluten problems. Since going gluten-free, all of my problems have resolved and I have lost that 150, well now 160 pounds. They say that no Celiac is the same and my story is just another example proving this point.
