  1. Hello my dearest Psillies. Well my wonderful Mother's Day dinner cross-contaminated me. I now have wrap-around pain and other than going back to eating only brown rice I've forgotten what measures I can take to help alleviate the pain. In the past I always had my pain killers and have NO desire to ever go down that path again. I've been using a heating...
  2. I just wanted to wish all of my dear sweet psillies (and their family members) a healthy and Happy Mother's Day!!! May you be surrounded by everyone you love most dearly. We're celebrating today and having dinner with Tony at Ruth Cris's Steakhouse in Providence. Superman bought me a lovely orchid plant (I received orchids on my first mother's day). I...
  3. I'm not surprised but CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! (((Hugs))) to the three of you! Loey
  4. I had a lovely visit from 2 birds clinging to our family room outdoor screen. They were adorable! I felt like they were welcoming me as I've been watching the seasons change from my couch. I plan on that changing soon! Gotta get Superman to BBQ. He has online homework for the new job before his start date. I haven't checked...
  5. I've actually never tried that. The only baking soda I have is in the refrigerator, warding off smells. I'll have to buy a fresh box. I'd love it in muffins!
  6. DH busy dealing with yard-work. He received the contract and start date (May 20th). He'll be on call several days a week and one weekend a month. They pay you a few bucks an hour to be on call. Also looks like there's overtime. We're ordering gluten-free Pizza tonight. I'm going to see the third man in my life tomorrow - Ironman. I would watch Robert Downey...
  7. Yeah Turks!!!!! Both look new covers look awesome! I can't believe you just started using this program. So glad life looks good. Enjoy the BBQ!
  8. Hope he's feeling better! All I can say about the covers is that I can't wait to see how they tie in with your upcoming novels. You've sure branched out with your talent - keep it up!
  9. Vincent, was yesterday the day you all tested for the next belt? Loey
  10. Way to go Vincent!!! You keep outdoing yourself! Loey
  11. Phew - I was worried that my previous "fog" made me unable to identify the characters. Just looking at them I hope to see them in future books. I went to the help section and had to email them to tell them there was an updated version. Then I just had to go to the "manage your Kindle" section and they deleted the first one and replaced it with the newer...
  12. OK dearest psillies, you have far surpassed any other forum I have looked at and the bar raised here is pretty darn high! I went to a forum devoted to my "ladyparts" issue (yes, it's still not healed). Well "if" they reply it is not with the support, compassion, intelligence and understanding (and love) that makes our forum the best! I deleted my account...
  13. AWESOME!!!! I know I should be able to recognize these characters. Looking forward to seeing more artwork. I think I'm dubbing you "Oh Great One" after reading that article. Yes, winter seems to have ended in RI. The trees have still not turned green but the temperature yesterday was 70 degrees. BTW, I have purchased several of your brother's books...
  14. Wow Poeter, I was impressed with you before I read the article. Now I'm even more impressed!!!! I can only imagine how incredible your work is now that you're diagnosed and no longer in the crapper (figuratively & literally). Hugs, Loey
  15. SO glad to hear the turks seem better. I know that they're a great source of comfort to you and your family. I'll continue to keep them (and everyone here) in my prayers. Thank you so much for all the wonderful posts and emails. Superman slept well last night for the first time in 20 months. Tomorrow he'll start cutting back on his coffee intake (can...
  16. Hello my dearest psillies. Wanted you all to be the first to know that Superman got the job offer today with the Medical Monitoring Company. Thank you for the unwavering support and love over the past years. I truly don't think I could have made it through without each and every one of you!!! I never imagined when I was first diagnosed with Celiac...
  17. Thanks my friend. I can relate to the fog & exhaustion. I'm glad you found something from home. Right now I can't sit at a computer for long stretches so hopefully someday ... I'm glad you're spending so much time with the babies. I bet it's therapeutic for them, as well as, you. Keeping you all in my prayers! Love, Loey
  18. Thank God they were wrong! It's so nice to hear good news. Thank you for your kind words - I needed encouragement today I guess everything hit me at once. DS is doing well and already set up a full-time (unpaid) internship with the public defender's office. You may recall he did that part time last summer as well as working at The Providence Hospital...
  19. Oh Jess, so sorry. Keeping you, your family & the turks in my prayers! Love & lots of healing (((hugs))), Loey I agree- she's a totally awesome mama to all of her babes (human & turkey, etc) Thanks for a much needed smile. DS didn't get the internship, DH STILL has not heard about the job (he's assuming he didn't get it) and...
  20. Please give Jack a hug from me (and all us psillies) and have him give one to you and the rest of your family. A dear friend of ours just got out of rehab in Fla. (he's from NJ). His wife and son brought their dog Oreo along when they went to try to get him released last week and they were staying with their niece. Well Oreo ran away. The niece is still looking...
  21. OK, I'll try to keep this PG. When Superman and I lived in NJ we had a townhouse and the master bathroom had a bay window (near the shower). One day I was showering (this was before we bought vertical shades that rose from the bottom) and all of a sudden I looked over to find two men on ladders working on the house. I quickly grabbed my towel and ran for...
  22. This gives new meaning to "View From The Top"
  23. So sorry to hear the sad news, Em. Sending extra healing (((hugs))) and all my love, Loey
